JB you were SO CLOSE until you limited yourself by using the 4 prong 50A to 3 prong 30A connector! You basically threw away phaseA from the truck. All you needed to do was take your twist lock 4 prong to the 4 prong 50A, then plug your trailer in using its normal cord. Just because the connector is called a 50A connector, you'll just be limited by the truck's 30A per phase (A and B). When using the native 50A trailer cord, one AC is on phaseA (bedroom) and one is on phaseB (main). Microwave and all outlets are also on phaseB. Only the fireplace and bedroom AC are phaseA. The Ford has plenty of capacity on each phase (3600W) and will not trip! I tested it with my Powerboost and Delta 294RK.

The powerboost is the absolute best...was in Zion last summer, 110 degrees and the power went out at the campground...plugged my RV into my F150 and had A/C and all the amenities for 13 hours straight.

The yellow plug that you showed in minute 2:20 is the correct plug to use, and is the only one that you need with a 50amp cord. By you using the 30amp cord you shut down the A side. You don’t need that other adapter you showed later. The Powerboost will run both of your ACs , Microwave, and everything in there at the same time, without soft start. The scales is an option on all the trims

a And b is like a 240v 50 amps cord outlet in the rv park , 120 each leg you need a 50 amps cord to the camper and a 50amp adapter to plug in the truck to used both A and B

This is how I run my camper with two ac’s off my truck. It pulls from both banks so I get the full 7200 watts. I also use a similar set up to act as a generator for my house. Keep in mind in ‘generator mode’ the engine will cycle on and off as needed. You are drawing power from,the battery bank and the engine will kick on to recharge the battery.

Thanks for the demonstration! Without soft starts ACs are hard for small generators and inverters to run because of the compressor surge. I can run both my ACs with my 4000 W generator because I have soft starts. However, I have noticed above 4000 feet of elevation. I can only run one AC.

Good video! It’s pretty a good thing that the Super Duties with the Pro Power option can’t run 2 ACs, because if you can ruin your diesel engine by idling too long

I have a 2021 and it uses both A+B to power 2 AC's no problem. Not sure if they change something in 2024.

i have two 4800 watts wen gens 4k rated and run them in parallel 120 each leg on the 50 amp cord and the gens will run everything in the 37 foot rv including the hot water heater 1500 watts , best gen set up the wen 4800 only weight 72 lbs each half the weight of the predators i sold and half the price

nice truck! The big powerboost inverter trucks are intriguing, but the added weight and space dedicated to the battery, electric motor, and inverter take away from payload and fuel tank. So the powerboost trucks have less payload and less range.

'23 powerboost here. Payload is 1496 lbs (lariet) and range can be near 700 miles on its 30 gallon tank.

IS IT SAFE TO.LEAVW TEUCK RUNNING WHILE HOOKED TO CAMPER? AS IN THIEFS AND CO CREEPING INTO THE RV WHILENYOU SLEEP FROM TRUCK EXHAUST?

Lots of confusion about the 30 amp 240 volt plug. That’s actually two 30 amp 120 volt plugs equivalent. It’s a 60 amp 120 volt plug basically.

Typically you cannot run both AC units while RV is plugged into a 30 amp, but can run at least one AC unit. Probably best to buy an RV with 30 amp Max features. My RV is a fifth wheel like your and also requires 50 amps and Yes, I've had to buy a lot of adapters to dumb down the amount of usage in same areas. Where the power boost or hybrid, would probably really shine, is with a RV like the Coleman lantern lt 17r or b which only have 30 amp requirements
