Next time you want to use an electric can opener on a pull tab can, turn the can over and cut off the bottom. It should open much more easily.

most cans these days dont have an openable bottom. They are rounded instead of having a ridge.

I saw your previous video. I appreciate your info. I have bought way too many can openers. They are a necessary part of our life. I grew up up with the ol P31 and its cousin with the corkscrew and the old standard Echo manual openers. I like to buy the gallon size cans of fruit for cobblers. Ive tried several of the smooth edhe manual openers, If I can ever get them started...well....some are better than others. Ive tried seberal electric units, all are failures even with smaller cans, I am currently using a Black and decker. Every time I use it I remember it is trying my patience. I have to take the paper off the top part of the cans or it will not work. Also It takes about 5 tries to get it properly seated. Sometimes I just go hungry. I am saying...try removing a little paper with that electric unit. Also be very sure that you have the mounting peg fully inserted into the machine. I think I might try one of the MaMa things you showed. Currently I am researching the commercial openers the manual plunge type.

some people cannot use the top. my grandmother has arthritis and cannot use the ring

The KM isn't worth the price. It takes too much fiddling, and it often won't open a can. It won't open small cans.
