Just for the heck of it I’ve been going on to the Tigers locked on podcast. It was August 11 they were eight games under 500 and we were three above when we didn’t sweep that series. That was the day they took off and we fell. They are having a nutty miracle run I hope they make it. They were loving us for sweeping Kc. So we added to Detroit and euphoria they’re feeling right now

Funny how the Giants always seem to play a catalyst game every year that helps someone else out :/ , this year it was the Tigers, last year I think it was Arizona

So he’s suggesting we ignore the entire body of Farhan’s work because they went on a SMALL winning streak at the end of the season, when they’ve already been eliminated? Just asinine.

Addressing the fact that the Giants LOVE to put spin on anything they say so they could have already made their decision about Zaidi (which I really hope they have), to make a judgement on 10 or so IRRELEVANT games is beyond stupid of Giants ownership. We have a complete 6 years under Zaidi now and putting aside 19 and 20 which I can't blame him for, he has had ONE winning season that looks like a complete fluke. While I think that Zaidi was not put in a position to succeed as he was never given a honeymoon period and allowed to do whatever he wanted and was forbidden from even considering a rebuild. Zaidi has shown that he can't build a successful roster, he lies and gaslights when confronted with his failures and absolutely refuses to address the failings in his roster construction philosophy and the ballpark where we play. As long as Zaidi is in charge, we will continue to drift in the ocean of mediocrity directionless and adrift with no identity.

Funny how the Giants have been playing better since word of Posey "helping" in Chapman contract. Have there been other changes behind the scenes involving leadership lack of faith in Farhan? Is Melvin playing they way he wants without Farhan Data/Analytics? Coincidence?

Ben you make the point how this team finishes and that it’s meaningful per the board of directors. So what if they finish 81-81 or even 82-80. Didn’t they do this in 2022 to get to .500. followed by two more mediocre seasons. Why do you want to reward mediocrity? They will never win anything with Farhan running baseball operations.

Don't blow it all up! The youngsters are contributing and trending up. Priorities: --Extend or sign Snell. JUST DO IT. --Package Doval with prospects (include Luciano) to acquire a top tier impact bat at 2B or SS. Fitz is good enough to play either position (might be better at 2B). --Create stability in the starting rotation. Have seven SPs on the 40 man who can give the Giants a legit chance to win across 162 games. Name them early and start building stamina now - especially with Hicks, Birdsong, and Harrison. --Tender Yaz. Roll with Ramos, Lee, McCray, and Yaz in the outfield. Let performance win the starts. Let Conforto walk. --Beyond trading Doval, maintain the bullpen as is. It's competitive as is. Keep FZ one more year and let him finish his contract. Let his draft picks prove it next year. We'll know by the All Star Break if the Giants have a competitive team or not. Too much is trending up to blow it all up with a new vision leader.

It matters how you do it when a playoff spot is on the line. They failed. They’re playing for contracts now for anything meaningful. The board already has enough information. Snell is gone.

I've been thinking about how Snell seems to lose enough to take the playoff pressure off for the rest of the season. Has he ever been in the playoffs? It seems the Giants are doing the same thing. Way better with no pressure.

It would be better for the Giants if they lost every game down the stretch. I believe the worse it gets the more likely they are to make the changes they desperately need to make. So let me ask you this... If they bring back this entire team, Sign Snell, Robby Ray doesn't opt out. resign Conforto and all the others, bring the whole team back next year does anyone think that they will make the playoffs... The team that MASSIVELY FAILED this year is going to magically come back next year and be what everyone hoped they would be this year? ARE YOU FOOKIN INSANE. It's time to acknowledge failure and fire-sale this trainwreck, keep the kids in hopes that some of them will work out and sell off every underperforming "veteran" player they have... START OVER. What is it they say about doing the same thing over and expecting a different result... THIS TEAM WAS AN EPIC FAILURE, one of the highest payrolls in the league and FAILED TO MAKE THE POST SEASON, EVEN AS A WILD CARD, WITH 3 FUCKIN WILD CARDS. 1/2 THE LEAGUE MAKES IT INTO THE PLAYOFFS, AND THE GIANTS FAILED TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, WHILE BEING SECOND IN SPENDING ONLY TO THE DODGERS, WHO BY THE WAY WON THE DIVISION, AGAIN.

Why does no one simply talk about what Fahran Zahdi was brought here to do 6yrs ago: to finally make SF competitive against LA again One DIV title (the Buster Posey year) and SF was promptly eliminated.... by LA Cannot build a winning culture. Cannot develop young talent. Cannot attract existing talent. Epic failure. Tone deaf. Arrogant. Geek. Nerd. Gas-lighter. Unathletic. No pulse of what an actual human baseball player looks like. You can call FarFlop sll those things. But no one can call him a winner; the only thing that matters

Thing is, now that the season is a waste, no playoffs, it's smarter to lose and get a better draft pick. When the Giants HAD to win, they choked. A complete mess both ways. Get Farhan outta here

@@ldo1308 The different between being in the 9th lottery spot or the 15th is literally 1.06% intentionally losing over barely a percentage point of having better lottery odds is totally asinine, especially when the White and A's are already guaranteed the 10th and 11th picks respectively. This is especially in a sport where drafting doesn't make an immediate impact and rarely functions as a BP (best player available) situation because each teams works off varying philosophies and varying development tracks.

14.5 games out of 1st place. 9 games out of WC. If the board of directors are looking at 14 meaningless games at the end of the season to decide on the team's future then they probably don't care if we win or not anyway. Ending at .500 is completely meaningless when you are 15 games out of 1st place. You're just trying to put positive spin on another lousy season.

If Giants are wise, they DO NOT sign Snell or Boras will fleece them. Bring in better position players that CAN hit consistently and protect Chapman, or he will get intentionally walked, to face some minor league bum or mediocre mlb journeyman. When your FO signs injury prone players, like Robbie Ray, they're likely to get INJURED so STOP THE MADNESS. Btw, it was DUMB to trade Alex Cobb for a glove sting pad to the Guardians. Our FO's sharp as a butter knife.
