The Giants need to renegotiate with Snell/Boros now before the end of World Series while they have EXCLUSIVE rights to Snell. Every one who knows baseball says Snell has a reputation of starting slow. You were pulling out your hair until the All-Star break. Snell looks unbeatable! Sometimes he only goes 6 innings, but that's okay. Our bullpen is okay. They're up and down all season. Let's sweep Arizona and St. Louis.

Yeah, I agree… I’m OK eating the back end of a five-year contract if we can win now. And who knows that’s a maybe he still might be OK at 37 years old. So sign him, hire a personal trainer to go live with him to go live with him and make sure he’s doing his stretching exercises… Then send a limo or a private jet and get him to spring training on time..

I hope the Giants are talking to Snell’s people now! Who cares if a long term contract doesn’t work out over the long term. Pitchers like him don’t come around that often. Don’t let another front line pitcher walk again.

Remember, Snell sucked and was hurt the 1st two months of the season. He'll be 32 next year. Has two CY Young and a bunch of mediocre seasons. Yes, he's been really good the last 10 starts or so, but he's only going to have about 110 innings for the year, and really hasn't been a workhorse over his career. You don't give an inconsistent guy big money going into his mid 30's. He'll exercise his option for next year and stay with the Giants, as he knows he isn't going to get $31M a year after 2025.

I was at the games and the Giants looked great! 5 hrs in a game and pitchers were lights out minus Doval….. I didn’t even see him on Saturday walk to the bullpen :/

Sign Snell for whatever they need to pay him. A lot of great pitchers were very good to great into their late 30's. Yes it is a risk. The Giants need to decide what kind of team going forward. Are the owners content to reach the playoffs once or twice a decade or do they want to be a major city team. That would take time and perhaps a lot of money, smart drafting can save money and build fan excitement

@@kylegross1081 the giants are obviously a better team than the White Sox. I predicted them to finish 77-85 during the spring training season. They will do a bit better than I thought. I took the under on them. The over/under was 83.5. As of now, I think the giants will be better next year if they get rid of Zaidi.

Giants are playing loose and for themselves to pad their stats for next yr, which is why they're 6-1 this past week. If only they could play well when games mattered and were still in the WC race down the stretch. It's time for FO to clean house of players who don't work hard, fight and want to win every day.

While I agree that the Giants have been far too risk adverse, putting long term money into Starters has always been a bad bet. Don't know why and someone needs to figure it out but as soon as we pay up for a top end starter, we are lucky to get one good year out of them before they collapse and turn into liabilities. While the pitching failed us this year that was because Zaidi got WAY too cute with manipulating the rotation and making too many assumptions not substantiated by any evidence. The other problems are that BoMel hired a super old school Pitching coach and we stopped the bullpen games and opener routines when we never had the staff to do that with. The more concerning thing to me is the position player group is still a mess with little hope in sight right now. Ramos and Fitzgearld are a start, but they still have no identity and are bottom 3 in RISP and don't tell me that doesn't matter! It DOES matter when you are near bottom of baseball. And oh yeah, STILL last in stolen base differential by a large margin. You need an offense that can rollover SOME people so you can spread out your workload and not overtax your best guys because that has killed our bullpen this year.
