I think they could survive on one condition; they become pack hunters that can collectively hold off the Skull Crushers and be enough of a threat to the new Kong. The Venatasaurus would probably be too small and comparatively fragile to survive on the island alongside the V. rexes and Skull crushers. But possibly the Brontosaurus and horned dino Ferrucutus could proliferate with the larger island and more vegetation to feed on and providing the Rexes with a larger source of food than just the water buffalo.

If there was a V-rex on the new Skull Island, it would've probably have an abnormal growing and sizing rate until it's body would change as well as it's overall stance. The V-rex would then become Gorosaurus. So that means the new Gorosaurus would grow around a rough standing size of 80-99ft (Normal stance like a regular carnivore would so it can hunt and attack prey it size or smaller) and then it would stand up completely would would size around 140-160ft tall.

If there are V-Rexes or some counterpart to them on the Island its most likely they would hav evolved to become just as big and strong as King Kong. In this scenario Tommy H just puts the the V-Rexes into the new Skull Island for that we simply draw our own conclusions what would happen. However if the Theropods on Skull Island evolved to compete with the herbivores living on the Island then its very logical they would have grown to size of the new King Kong. We did see the skeleton of a large Triceratops in one of the trailers so its possible there are Theropods or have been Theropods of comparable in size in the past, maybe even before the age of the large gorillas.

Based on it's size and intelligence, as well as it's strength in comparison to a T-Rex, yes, the V-Rex can survive. It's only competition would be Skullcrawlers, which are dormant a majority of the time, and Kong won't attack them unless they were to attack him first. In comparison to any other creature on the island, the V-Rex would still be a king on the island.

I don't like the skull crawler design. It just seems like such an unlikely byproduct of evolution. They should have been giant dinosaurs or snakes or even gators. The M.U.T.O.'s in Godzilla were far to symmetrical, almost machine like in design and these look like a mess.

I don’t think the V-Rex would fare too well on the new Skull Island. Put simply, there’s nothing to eat. The Sker Buffalo would be too difficult to regularly kill for food. In your V-Rex vs. Sker Buffalo video, you noted that a V-Rex could probably drive off a Buffalo, but that’s different from killing one. The Sker Buffalo is just too huge to be killed quickly if there’s a nearby body of water it can retreat too, and it can remain underwater for apparently hours. We’ve never seen any indication that the V-Rex can swim, so the Buffalo would probably be safe. The giant Arthropoda like the Mommy Longlegs don’t look to have much meat on them, so while a V-Rex could kill one easily, I don’t think it’d get enough carbs to make up for the energy expended killing it. The young Skyll Crawlers and the Deathjackals seen in the comics have more meat, and are individually easier to kill, but both run in packs are are highly aggressive; they’d overwhelm an individual V-Rex and either take it down or seriously injure it. And then there’s King himself. Three V-Rex could beat one Kong, and the 2005 version was only a quarter of the size of the new one, as well as stemming to be less intelligent than the new guy. The only way I could see the V-Rex surviving on the new Skull Island is if it switched from being a predator to a scavenger (maybe. Some of the predators on Skull Island seem to vicious to leave much to scavenge). Put simply, its survival of the fittest, and the V-Rex is unfit for the new Skull Island.

im not trying to be a hater but as a paleontologist the V-Rex is not as evolved as alot of dinosaurs the Tyrannt King itsself had a better body plan than the V-Rex, the feathers of a Tyrannosaurus would deflect heat of a tropical climate sure it would trap body heat but it, would like i said deflect outside heat. Like an Ostrich it would have had bald spots on the legs and tail to realese heat. the V-Rex is too stubby and the feet are too small the Creature would have a tough time standing, However it would be very robust any large therapod would have a it hard on them to brawling the V-rex. The camo could be better, mabey be a bit slimmer so it could hide. It is an ambush predator after all, it really was... well the T-rex was. From the body to size ratio it would have a weaker bite force, the reason Tyrannosaurus had small arms was because of the muscles operating the jaw it needed those to crunch bone the jaws needed to be strong so the teeth could work properly. P.S. dont say that im faking it because im not i studied at the uni of alberta. Dont say im a child because of the name. Thou I do agree with you didnt the V-rex itself as the apex predator of the old skull island prove you wrong ? since in real life the V-rex itself is just a bigger trex so all of the body shape stay the same(except for the feather) and we have no Idea how strong the V rex muscle is(here the things that I dont get why do scientist or just science guys since scientist dont do alot of time, base the bones and muscles of a FICTIONAL monster of off what we have in real life ??? I mean We dont know if the bone/muscles it self is stronger than real life's bone/muscles). well i thing that the i-rex has much better chances to survive on scull island than the v-rexx has because of his abilitys to adapted much better than ornidary dinos have; for example i-rex is able to kill of one baby scull crawler but if the baby scull crawler has friends....the only thing that i-rex has to do is to use it's camo and escape without injury. instead the v-rex has no such abilitys and to defend himself he must fight the scull crawlers and then the scull crawlers will kill of the v-rex very quick. Another example is that the i-rex is able to kill of a baby scull crawler or the water buffalo by using it's camo and with a quick bite to the neck. The v-rex from the other hand must face off the scull crawler or the water buffalo with not always 100% victory. Finally the i-rex from the side of kong, because of it's smaller size seems far hurmless to kong than the v-rex seems and is no so stupid to attack to something 5 times her size and as we saw in the trailer 2 of kong scull island, kong is a good king so i-rex has nothing to fear from him.That's why i thing that i-rex has much better chances to survive on the new scull island than the v-rex has.
