Jurassic Journey EP 3: Bigger Than The Indominus

Revisiting this video series after all these years is very nostalgic. The first episode was decent, the second episode was nuts like a Pokémon battle with dinosaurs. This episode was always very interesting to me. Something bigger than the I-Rex huh? This was something that 13 year old me was always interested in figuring out. So after all these years, let’s analyze the possibilities. Well, size isn’t everything. Strength, speed and durability is also key to having an advantage over an opponent, so what animal in the series could’ve been able to check out all of those criteria? Well, in the video the image of the Jurassic Park III Spinosaurus is shown when the creature is eluted to. That could make sense, it’s been 14 years since JP3 and the Spino could easily kill a younger T-Rex. The Spinosaurus would only become stronger and more experienced with killing large, powerful theropods. The Spinosaurus being younger than the JP Rex means that age isn’t too much of a problem for him. It would obviously be a more even fight but the Spinosaurus would easily win just through sheer experience and the bite force being strong-enough for a quick fatality, e.i. a neck snap. What about a Giganotosaurus? It would be the second best option in terms of size but I doubt that it could beat the I-Rex and all four Raptors all working together. Looking for other options, we can apply some recent canon additions. Maybe there was a Scorpios Rex specimen that happened to be huge? But this video was made years before Camp Cretaceous was even a thing. So what about other hybrids? What option do we have? Well, the roar of the mystery creature is an edited T-Rex roar, but the image is a Spinosaurus. And we know that Tommy H loved discussing other hybrids during this time, so… The animal could be a “Spinosaurus Rex”. It checks out all the boxes, and would make sense when looking at this guy’s content at the time. Also I imagine if he gave a size he’d probably say 21 ft. Cuz for some reason he just loved saying 21 repeatedly. Idk.

I came up with my own Jurassic Journey story. Here's how it goes: Gray and Zach drive into the restricted area of Isla Nublar, not knowing it's restricted. They find a group of Ankylosaurs. However, Gray and Zach are ambushed by a Spinosaurus. That drive away in the Gyrosphere, but a T-Rex appears in their way. Zach jerks the joystick to the right immediately but accidentally crashes into a tree, knocking them upside down. The T-Rex and Spinosaurus square off. That bite each other, scratch each other, and slamming each other into trees. The T-Rex finishes off the Spinosaurus, and turns his attention towards Gray and Zach. The T-Rex attacks the Gyrosphere, with Gray terrified and Zach trying to help him and himself to escape. That drop out of the Gyrosphere, but the T-Rex notices it. Luckily Owen and Claire arrive. Owen shoots his rifle at the T-Rex, distracting it from the kids. Claire gets the two boys in the car while Owen continues to fend off the Dinosaur. Owen runs out of bullets and jumps in the car. Our main characters drive away, but the T-Rex chases them. Thankfully, Owen sped away fast enough from the T-Rex.

idk, what dinosaurs were bigger than the I Rex in the movie? Sinosaurus? Giganotosaurus? Mapusaurus? Charcarodontosaurus? The I Rex in the movie was only around 45 feet long and wasn't fully grown, so I could see something like a 55 foot long spinosaurus killing it. Or maybe a pair of giganotosaurs?
