I think the reason why Rie really never wins is because she makes food like it should be stuck in an art gallery. It's sophisticated, not simple, and she puts so much effort into it. Alix on the other hand, knows what children likes and knowing kids, they like crazy wild things. But this kid. She loved both of them, yet Rie's didn't fit her design. Despite Rie's being magnificent and sophisticated, the way she styles food really fits Teens and Adults. No hate to Alix btw
