@@LePedant Not from my experience making videos for clients. It will start as soon as the video is uploaded, but the subs will still take time to complete and be available to view. The new captioning feature on Premiere Pro is a lot faster. But then again, my clients' videos are Unlisted and for internal use only. So they probably get the least priority with the subtitling servers, compared to Public (and monetized videos). 🤷‍♀️

why? You can get a MUCH faster PC for pretty cheap... a 3rd to 5th gen i5 PC should be available for around 50 bucks, maybe get a GT 750 or something like that for the same money and you can play at least some games. I was able to play Cyberpunk on my server (2x Xeon X5690 128GB RAM) with a Quadro K4000. Just don't crank resolution up to the max and you should be fine. 1366x768 is what I use. My PC got a i5 8500 (around 50€) and a GTX 970 (I paid 150 for it, but that was a few years ago) and I can play more or less any game I want on ultra. Yes, even Cyberpunk 2077. You don't need to spend 1000€+ on a PC to be able to game on it. If you go AMD/ATI you could probably whack a decent PC together for around 300€.

GPU's originally started with ATI Radeon HD3870's in Xfire config. later replaced with HD 6870's. Still works, replaced the HD6870's with one R9-280X, Pioneer DVR-215D optical drive. Last time used the system was in 2014. Guess have either Windows 7 or 8.1 cost to build was close to $1,600 and with the ACER P243W 2ms gtg 24 inch monitor of $400 makes it $2,000. I still use the ACER P243W nearly everyday or average 300 days out of 365 per year and works like the day I bought it. Logitech Internet Keyboard, Logitech mouse, Logitech 2.1 sound bar. Linksys/Cisco AE2500 USB Network Adapter. Plantronics Audio 955H headset. Yes! I know I have DDR2 sitting around with a little bit older motherboard. I have a 2002 Compaq Presario 5423US that uses PATA Drives and think it has a PNY GeForce 7600GS AGP not PCIe. Before that was 2001 Compaq Presario 7000T with Pentium 4 1.4GHz Williamette 478 socket and the worse kind of memory was RAMBUS and Windows ME. The best OS of them all is Windows XP Pro. Worse OS of all time is Windows 10 for all the Spyware, Adware, Malware and hidden stuff that Microsoft imbedded in Windows 10, if MS kept their noses clean and not steal your Privacy then yes! Windows 10 would be ranked #2 behind Win XP. Oh! Apple, MS, Spectrum, Verizon, Comcast and many large corporations have negotiated with the U.S. Government and foreign gov'ts to send everything they can about you. You have zero privacy and nothing is confidential. COVID-19 is a conspiracy. CDC and WHO, U.S., Russia and China and other gov'ts planned the greatest hoax of all time. Got to make people fear the wealthy and powerful. Income inequality at the largest gap ever. Rich get wealthier and Poor become poorer. Don't forget about racial tension - divide and conquer also the U.S 2nd Amendment "the right to bear arms" but they trying to take that away so unable to defend ourselves. Before the Great Recession the stock market was around 13,000 points and a decade later over 35,000 points at various times. A lot of people (maybe around 10 million) do not have jobs or family supportive jobs , less middle class and add a few into the top 10 percent while more have fallen into poverty. When the stock market crashes, people lose jobs and when it recovers many never get their jobs back. What's wrong with the system? Don't worry, Get even!

As has always been the case ever since windows became mainstream, the #1 requirement is RAM! No amount of CPU or GPU power can compensate for lack of RAM. Stick 8GB of DDR2 in that thing(16GB would be a waste if it even supports that much) and it would be "okay". Next hurdle is CPU instructions. The older the CPU the more likely it will lack an instruction that is commonly used now.. Then comes the GPU, which they already addressed just fine. And last is storage speed, which they also addressed. You can get a 500GB SATA SSD for pretty damn cheap now. As long as you stick to the older PC games someone could still have a lot of fun on that system. And if you are willing to expand your gaming horizons, you can get into retro gaming! That system would easily run old arcade games, NES, SNES, Genesis, and maybe even PS1 and N64. And you can download all those old games for free, and they take up so little space!

I've upgraded my PC 2 times since I got it around 10 years ago. Once with a bit extra memory that didn't quite kick in till I installed Win 10. And the second being the Graphics card upgrade to a GTX 1070. (The GPU being upgraded as one of a paired set of cards stopped working from a piece of the mount latch getting pulled, but has been working better just with the one card replacing them both.) Seems a well built PC like this can certainly last long and well if treated well.

Nobody I know plays rocket league on settings this high, even on high end PCs. We put the game as low as possible except for render resolution (because it looks like crap) and maybe texture resolution. Transparent goal posts are also a must have. Other than that, go as low as possible. That’s how I play it, on 2700x and 2070. rocket league is weird because the more FPS the more often it checks your input, so the best settings for rocket league are the lowest, so you get the highest possible frame rates and therefore the snappiest response. Also with the bluescreen, my so also has that problem on her laptop with an i7, 16Gb ram and mx250.

I5-2300 2.8ghz here($183) with the Intel stock cooler, built it in April 2012, 8GB of DDR3 1333 Ram($45), originally I had the Radeon HD 6870, upgraded in 2014 to a GTX 1060 for $169.99 new, Crucial 120GB SSD($120), Cooler Master 500watt 80+ bronze Power supply. Upgraded to windows 10 free. I built this system to play World of Warcraft, heroes of the storm, hearthstone, etc. It's 2021, I came back to WoW TBC Classic and the system performs flawlessly. Medium to high settings on wow 60fps locked, perfect. I wish I had bought 16GB of memory because if I open 20+ windows on chrome while I'm gaming I get chrome to freeze because not enough memory. If I were to go back and spend a little more on my system I would #1, gotten a premium power supply like 650w-750w 80+ at least platinum, this will last 15-30 years? Forever? Gotten 16GB of ram instead of 8GB(8GB was enough back then). I should have doubled my ssd capacity to at least 240GB, and lastly I should have spent the money on a 1080ti or at least a 1070ti. Moral of the story, build an over kill system for gaming and "future proof" in 10 years it will save you from upgrades which will cost you extra money. My plan now is to wait for Black Friday sales, get at least a 1000w titanium psu, a 5950x at $$600-700, ($719 micro center now), The norm is 32GB of ram, I would go 64 GB of ram, 2 TB of nvme's, and the noctua nhd 15 cooler. The graphics card, ideally the 3080 is "future" proof but prices and availability, who knows, I'll stick to the 1060 for now.

I used one of this until last year. They a dirt-cheap. If PSU and motherboard are decent, quad-core Xeon E54xx processors are overclockable between to 3.5-3.7 with Intel stock cooler. System memory could be up to 8GB. Used DDR2 800 2GB sticks are common. This isn't great, not terrible. Modern titles would probably crash due to lack of SSE3 support and low IPC, yet single player AAA games from like 2015-ish - playable at 720p

Jay touched on it, but you should DEFINITELY cap your framerate when using an old/weak CPU like this. This'll significantly improve your frame times, helping to make games feel much smoother. Just grab RivaTuner and set a cap in the comfortable range for each game. E.g. If Rocket League runs at 90-130 FPS, try a cap of 90. If you've got more headroom, bump it up to 100, or use that budget to increase some graphical options. It's all about finding that GPU-CPU sweetspot 😎

older higher end 2nd gen intel and AMD Bulldozer CPUs can still be alright with 8GB-16GB RAM, a 2GB-4GB GPU, and a good 500mb/s SSD. some games are starting to require things like AVX instructions and can run into issues without them. both AMD and Intel started using them by 2012, so try for post 2012 used hardware, if in dire need.

There is the 100% sidestep which is playing old old games like from the 80's and 90's which is what I've been doing. Quest For Glory is one of my favorite series of all times and it's been fun playing through those. Don't need anything super modern to run it. Going back to a game that you couldn't play because you didn't have the hardware, or were playing with subpar hardware at the time can also be a lot of fun. Put an MT-32 emulator (for sound) on some of those old adventure games and it's a completely new experience. Pretty much most modern adventure games have low CPU GPU by today's standards and it's easy to spend 20-30 hours playing through an old series. Also looking through the old steam library it can be surprising to see what you got as part of a bundle in the 00's.
