I got an esp fierce for a flippy putter and it quickly became my favorite disc I’ve ever owned. I’ve never seen anyone else throw them. It might be fitting for this slot.

I bought the deputy instead but the fierce felt really good in my hand. I'm cheap. Deputy pops up to flat goes straight far but finishes right softly instead of left. One of kind putter. I have 12 different putters. Glow Reko is best nomad Luna close 2nd

I finally got a PA5 and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite putters. I found that the little bead on the bottom gives me a super clean release, and increased my make percentage. I’m not normally a beaded putter guy because they are usually super deep. This disc feels as deep as most non beaded putters, or maybe slightly shallower (which is my preference for putting putters). Plus 300 plastic feels so good in hand. It’s grippy, about as flexible as latitudes medium flex (maybe just a touch stiffer), and seems fairly durable for base plastic. I also love that it almost feels like a baby midrange.

I bag both a Gold Pure and a 300 PA-5. I love throwing the Pure on hyzerflip to straight shots and that PA5 on shots with a late flip and slow drift to the right. Also, it is great as a Circle 2 putter!

Pa4 is my go-to flippy putter. Much different hand feel than Pa5, I like it because like you I power grip most everything and the Pa4 feels very secure in the hand

You need to check out the Pa-5 in 300 plastic if you want that easy flip. I throw them like 40% on hyzerflip turnovers through the woods and it goes right foreverrrrrrr

i dont throw understable putter very often, its definitely a rare utility shot when it comes to tournament play. Most cases youre better off throwing a more consistent OS option.

I went through this journey of finding a understand putter for touch shots. Fierce, Spin, Pure, Warden, etc. Then I found the RPM Tui. The Tui is amazing. Effortless glide and easy turnover.

i throw both the MVP Atom and Axiom Envy and the Atom in Electron plastic is exactly like the pure in its baseline plastic aka it beats in to be very understable so its an awesome utility disc for anhyzer shots . the Envy in Electron plastic beats in to be very similar to what you are wanting out of the Pa5 and the pure, A slightly understable utility disc that turns but doesn't burn out on you too hard.

So I feel like if you were to pick up a Pierce fierce in its stock swirl plastic, you could probably find that to be fairly flippy as well. So just an idea for you to try it out

I bag a PA4 in 500 and for me, it’s less stable than my medium moonshine pure even though the flight numbers are identical. I just got a PA4 in 750 so I’ll be comparing it to the 500 for stability.

Feeling up my few 400 plastic discs... they feel soo good except for the flashing, need to sand/use them a bit more. Threw a PA-1 (Otso 3, 500 Spectrum) 255' today, felt nice even in the cold (-5°C), gonna push it to 300' this spring :D Ohh, and have you tried some Gold-line Pures? They might be what you want instead of the Opto one. I have kept to the Opto/VIP/Lucid but the next step (need to find a more reason to buy more plastic, so plastic type is the next natural step...). Loose the Rive instead, its way to mainstream ;P

I heard the newest products have less. But then the old have to leave the shelves first :P I "accidentally" made my FX-2 slide a bit on asphalt, needed to sand those nicks away... Lo and behold the flashing were gone, it really feels good now, I need more speed to get turn out of it even in headwind so its a really nice overstable disc to work in for a long time with very little change in flight.

You should try an RPM Tui - Super sick neutral putter with lots of glide and beats in nicely to understable turnovers, especially in base plastic... and it's a disc from an NZ company which is cool

Sadly Opto-X Pures aren't produced anymore, so there's a gap in the OS slot Pures could have filled (Gold-X are fantastic but only stable).

@@MaximilianBerkmann I actually bag both a Opto-X and a Zero Line Pure. The Opto-X is slightly more stable than Pures in other plastics, but FAR AWAY from being an overstable disc. Pures aren't overstable discs. "If you've ever thrown one..." haha. Try throwing one with more than 100 feet of power, you'll be surprised. ;) Right back at you haha.

You should stop power gripping putters. Trust me. With a putter rim a power grip gives you almost no touch and angle control compared to a fan grip

So it didn't take you long either to have a natural dislike for Prodigy baskets it seems. The first 2 tournaments I ever played were on Prodigy baskets. Bad catch, seemingly extra wide band to reject shots, then bolts and nuts in strategic locations to reject even more shots, and a high basket that makes the distance between the top of the basket and bottom of the band seem shorter than other baskets. I have herad more disc golfers say they hate Prodigy baskets more than all of the other manufacturers combined. (I realize these are not Prodigy baskets in this video but the comment at 7:06 led me to believe you are not overly fond of them either).

This is not a Pure by any means. The Pure is a straight flier (just like the Proxy). The PA-5 is a different slot in the bag
