I went from 4 to a 1 been using DECADE for almost a year. It’s kind of hard to use on a home course like mine very narrow fairways, short par 4s, and small greens. But has helped a lot mainly when I go to a place I haven’t played before and have my best rounds strictly using the system. Thanks Fawcett You’re the Man. Mygolfspy thanks for the interview

Really surprised that I could find this good content (for free) and even more surprised that you don't have way more subscribers. This is good! (You have a new subscriber for sure!) Thanks! ⛳👍😊

This was GREAT! I currently only track Fairways Hit, GIR and Putts and not getting anywhere, I will be revisiting my tracking parameters and look into Decade!! Thank you.

I’ve followed a lot of Scott’s stuff for a while now, particularly his podcasts with MC. But I finally just pulled the trigger on the Decade app. Looking forward to it! Been playing golf for basically 3 years. HC is 8.1. Best round of 76. I’ll report back in a year!

When I was a kid there was a GD article I read for tracking. I tracked Fairways, GIR, and Distance of Putts MADE. If it was a no-putt/ tap-in, it would count as a 1ft putt, and a maximum of 15ft for long putts no matter the distance. The "MADE" part was a correlation of how well you are both putting and hitting shots into the green.

This was cool to listen to. I've never been that analytical as his explanation of his data, but I've been using those thoughts while playing the last two years and I'm seeing my handicap come down. So he now confirmed to me anyway, I'm not that stupid.

When can we get the Arccos + DECADE integration....

Great video, THANK YOU!! Look forward to the postings! I do have one question, if I may, back in #38 it was mentioned about the cart bag reviews; as I am in the market for a new bag (after 10 years) the insight would be helpful. Search as i might I have not been able to find those reviews. Thanks Again!!

Really enjoyed this and its changed my view on DECADE a bit - generally on twitter I find Scott and Lou a little bit too blunt, especially when teaming up with Crossfield while he was chasing distance. Its always worth remembering that they are trying to sell a product. Broadie on NLU was more neutral as he isnt selling anything so was more open to situational play as opposed to whats the best average play.

I honestly think when I used game golf it hurt me in a way because I frequently was trying to hit my irons expected optimum distance each time. Now I play a lot of half swings and knocked down shots that I don't care what stats they are since I don't keep track of the distances like that. Tto be honest the last couple years of using game golf I primarily just looked at good shots to see how they flew and distance and pretty much ignore the rest of them.

Guys getting on Arccos 'cause you have to "babysit" it --- I don't disagree you have to babysit it, but in my foursome, between leaving the green and the whole crowd of us teeing off on the very next teebox, i've got plenty of time to make sure it picked up and/or edit my putts. I literally don't have to do anything after the round except look at stats. I do like Scott's breakdown of the 5 really important "macro" items to watch for though. Tiger Woods continuing to show how he was 20 years ahead of every body :)

Totally agree. For those who don’t know how Arccos works, basically you have to yell it (a) roughly where on the green your first putt was from, (b) roughly where the flag was, and (c) how many total putts you had. For (a) and (b), the only thing that really matters is getting the distance between them right (the exact locations don’t matter). Takes me about 10 seconds per hole to do this.

Me personally I find that editing my putts during the round is harder because the phone screen is smaller and it's harder to be precise. Plus for me I'm there to hang out and chat with friends, and if I'm editing putts I'm not doing that or looking at the next hole and evaluating what club to hit. For me I'd rather wait till the round is over. But I don't mind having to do it.
@Golfzilla703 жыл бұрын
@@MJSchaefer16 totally understand -- i don't play a lot of strange golf courses, it's usually just my regular group at the same golf course each weekend (so no studying required). But i don't get too technical on it, i just eyeball the length of the putt and give it a guess, and try to get my starting point roughly where i was on the green and go from there.

What is the difference between DECADE and the AI-based caddie in Arccos? Should an AI-base approach at least be as good? (Assuming the AI is good)

Most golfers don't want to get better. They'll take some range lessons, but make the same dumb mistakes they've always made on the course.
