I went through Decade and did notice that it just took a lot of emotion out of the game, it makes selecting targets so easy. Highly recommend anyone to sign up.

Love it that’s the way I’ve been playing but now I will do it with confidence, 🙏

I’ve been doing this to prepare for tournaments since 2006. I’m shocked that everyone else didn’t

Good video, I think this one falls under course management. Must be a little snow outside.

good to hit driver in theory, except where i play most of the courses are park style with play tight tree lined with 40 m wide fairways and sharp dog leg holes. on these courses if hit in trees you do rack up a DB very quickly, so hitting fairway is important. If play open links or resort type courses, that are wider then decade theory seems to work

Decade would not advise you to hit driver in those situations.

65yds is a good rule of thumb. However is there any data on dispersion numbers for different handicap levels?

fallowing this you almost never get the driver out of the bag in asia as most are fairway are 35 yards wide

Using this logic, I would need to use my putter off the tee 😂

Very interesting broadcast. I am sure that the driver is the best option but I seem to remember that Tiger Woods won a British Open a few years back virtually only using a 2 iron off the tee.

Yes, but that's more of a statement on how he was driving it and the course than anything else. Driving strategy is more personalized than approach based on your shot pattern, speed, and mindset.

Nice explanation! Do you use carry distance for the cone length?

Yes

Like it. Practice driver more than short clubs? No ty. Still like it

I keep using driver because it's fun but I lose balls because unlike the pros, I don't have a ball spotter. I may not be far off the fairway but on my desert course I'm in a bush filled lava field. If I find the ball, I might have a shot. It's not a penalty per SE, but if it's a lost ball well that sucks.

Then you will have to take a lesson or leave the driver in the bag🤷🏻♂️

Novel and insightful. Ps. No disrespect to the poster below, but there is no British Open. It's correct title Is the Open Championship. There were no other Open Championships when it was founded in 1860.

Ugh, get over yourself. It's the British Open unless you enjoy repeating yourself to clarify. Given the smugness in your initial statement, that may well be the case.
