When Joe Biden won the US Presidential election, President Donald Trump threatened legal action in some of the battleground states that were among the last to count their ballots. It was all part of a campaign to cast doubt on the legality of mail-in ballots, which disproportionately favored Joe Biden. The lawsuits themselves likely won’t alter the course of the election. But one in Pennsylvania sheds light on how the current US Supreme Court might rule on future election laws.

I think simply having justices who aren't backed or helped by a specific party can go a long ways. Obviously no human can ever remain completely impartial, but we can still have humans who aren't going to support people just for the party.

I mean it was historically pretty clear. Votes counted on or before election day. The end of election day is the end of voting. Votes determine electoral college votes in most states and circumstances. EC votes determine the president. Of course in 2020 we all live in segregated informational bubbles and many people will selectively argue those points based on how much it benefits blue team or red team.

What amazes me is how in the US political parties control basically everything to do with elections. In Australia for instance, all elections are entirely run by an independent outside organisation (AEC for federal elections) that the government can't mess with. The organisations control things like voting locations, counting votes, drawing electorates, etc.

It has been shown that Mail In Ballots had heavily favored one political party over the other. There has been legitimate concerns of voter fraud due to massive mail in ballot turnout. This is not a normal election. It's not over yet. We must ensure that everything is fair and legal. The Media dosen't get to decide who won the election...
