One thing to remember about this Cavaliere weapon, the bottom side of the chassis is always, always, have invincibility frame-well not actually frame, more like invincibility side. Which means, any incoming attacks or even projectile can be parried or deflected if it hit the bottom of the chassis. Remember, only the bottom, not the side, or rear, or front

I think what you meant to say is that the wheels have a constant hitbox that can parry attacks easily. And It's true

@@Saxjon no, if there's incoming attack from the side even when the wheels facing forward (Be it Separated or as a Whole Bike), you still get hit It has to be the bottom. This applies on the ground and Mid-air

@snef5429 @niezzayt3809 Just a quick fiy. Cavaliere actually has i-frames when Dante flips on attack startup. Basically every time you see Dante do a flip as he summons cavaliere (bacwards hit, sm forward hit and back hit, back forward normal hit etc) he has i-frames for the duration he's in air. So if you want to parry a furry you can do one of these to parry the first hit or i-frame it and parry the 2'nd. Also cavaliere sword master 1'st basic has crumple stun if you only hit with the last hit of the chain. It's an amazing fury parry cuz it parryes and catches the furry backflip with crumple stun all in one imput. Great vid tho, fun ideea I might try too!

Now if you're looking for suggestions, what immediately came to mind is a Devil Breaker only run, going through Nero's missions on DMD, only allowing usage of Devil Breakers. (With Tomboy, a case can be made but ultimately it'd be up to you whether or not you decide to use it)

Air Combo B is my favourite weapon. I really hate this bike lmao, it could have been so much cooler. Also it will never not annoy me that the one ultra sick move Dante does with it at the beginning of mission 12 just straight up doesn't exist. Anyway, nicely done video, not a bad idea for a run. I appreciate the commitment to only using the weapon, because I know a lot of runs of similar nature will "somewhat cheat" by using Sin DT's attacks anyway

I'm not great at this game, but right from the outset, 'Cavaliere only' sounds like a much easier challenge than 'guns only' or 'no DT'. It's a somewhat unwieldy weapon, sure, but it definitely saw some use in my own DmD playthrough - though not that much - and is by no means terrible. Good job! That Judgement Cut End dodge was awesome

If you want good damage against furries you should use lock-on+back+attack move (forgot the name), because furries will teleport after any four hits, but the game doesn't consider Cavaliere's gear attacks as a single attack because it continously does damage, so it is impossible to stun furries with gear attacks unless they were already stunned. And btw, this weapon might have been just my favourite, it's cool af and deals a lot of damage and gets a ton of style points allowing me to use quadS. And it's the only weapon in the game with which you can interchange attacks of different combos, you can basically infinitely stay in air(if the enemy has too much health) by interchanging normal and style attack, you only need to avoid using third style attack. Damn this is your first video?! Earned a sub from me! I think it’d be cool to maybe see a Mirage Edge only run with Vergil since I’m pretty sure that’s basically his weakest weapon in terms of amount of attacks. A Rebellion (or Devil Sword Sparda since they’re the same thing) only run with Dante would be neat. And a Devil Breaker only run with Nero would be pretty cool too.

Just some advice, best parry for Cavaliere vs Fury would be Full Throttle if not in a closed room. Then it would be Slipstream cus its slower so Fury wont hit you from behind from going too far with Full Throttle. These attacks make the whole front of you become a parry.

Yeah, I realized afterwards that Full Throttle would be the way to go as well. Its not very stylish, but if you use DT Full Throttle twice in a row (once for the parry and once when they're on the ground), its a clean 2-shot on any difficulty below DMD, which is something. And good call on Slipstream, didn't think about that myself!

i concur with others for a devil breaker only run, but i'd also like to pose a "king cerberus" only run if you think you can handle it, i don't know how you feel about the king cerberus weapon but personally its my second favorite dante weapon behind the cavaliere, and if you want to gain a new kind of appreciation for it i can't think of anything better than being locked in a playthrough with it XD, its a very versatile weapon and its many modes allow it to be a very decent all rounder weapon, i'd love to see you give that a shot

Thank you!! If you're struggling with the weapon I recommend going into the Void to see how you can chain different attacks (the combos for this weapon are actually pretty forgiving) and what their timings are for switching gears. Other than that, knowing enemy patterns and behavior is important, so you can properly gauge how big of a window you have to use it (since the weapon is sooo slow).

@@DavelexH Generally speaking, the aerial attacks (especially the swordmaster combo) are better than the grounded ones. Redline can also be really useful (if you have the red one), but it takes some getting used to. Jump-cancelling is not extremely useful for Cavaliere in particular, aside from cancelling Redline. Now I'm no expert myself at this, but one tip I can give is to try and cancel the jump with an attack as fast as possible. That will make the cancel feel more natural, and lessens the risk of you positioning yourself too high after the jump.
