Today we have another fun extreme budget food shopping challenge seeing what weekly vegan food haul we can get from one of the USA's cheapest food stores - Dollar Tree, with a budget of ONLY £30 or $37.50. For sure we will get some great deals and cheap items at Dollar Tree!
This is the first time we have done this challenge. This video is good for anyone looking for money saving tips, shopping on a budget, anyone conscious of the cost of living or their financial situation, or anyone just trying to save money, as it will help with making money! You get A LOT of potatoes out of that carton. We absolutely love to buy them. We used to buy the frozen shredded potatoes. Until we discovered the cartons. Saves so much space (in the freezer), are convenient and yields more. You just can't go wrong...ummm you can't leave them there for that.

I could see Katie in her element. She would love it here in Japan at the moment. Tofu is about 30p a block. Yoghurts are about 60p for 4 and that’s the dannoe brand. She would love it

You certainly got some amazing products and did the good thing by putting the tinned vegs etc away and optimg for the frozen ones. Better value and probably taste way better too. I am certainly going to be teaching my son grams etc as well so he knows which is better value for money. He loves shopping atm and he thinks about everyone and does tend to stay on the healthy side. Once we were out in town it was a very hot day and he was screaming I want an apple, I thought he might just be saying for the sake of it, but he carried on saying he wants an apple and until he didn't get it he kept on saying it. He ate it as well, so from then on I knew he really wants it if he insists and it doesn't have to be snacks. I was surprised that day as well as a super happy mommy 😊 Hope Astrid is well x

That was a great shopping experience, hungry jacks are dried freezer potatoes that makes hash browns . I used to make mini pizza out of muffins , toast them use tomato paste cheese and what ever toppings then either grill them or put in The oven. Going to use that sentence, very committed to snacks. Excellent shopping 🛍️ I’m so glad that you did this challenge as it gives me some good ideas 💡 I love black beans 🫘 but I don’t know how to make them from dried beans?!? You should do some beginner vegan / vegetarian cooking Vlogs when you get home on “How to cook…” lessons for these options 🎉 for example I love cauliflower pizza crust, but I wouldn’t really know how to make anything out of frozen cauliflower….eek ❤❤❤ ur vlog and ur cute 🥰 family!!

Wow very nice. It's difficult to do a whole shopping haul at a dollar tree but you guys did great for the budget. I always enjoy your videos so much. 🤗 Maybe if you eat out at one of the vegan restaurants in the area for a taste test that would be great. I'm not from the area but I would think it would have some good choices.

The little cartons of dried hash browns actually make a large skillet full of hash browns one rehydrated. You just open the carton and fill to the line with hot water then recluse the carton and let sit for about 15 min I think. Then when you poor into a skillet it makes about 6 servings. Just follow the instructions on the carton.

I am still in hospital almost month i feels like that as me and wife was in major car accident but doesnt help when nurses wake you You lol. yoy can get toast ems in sainsburys now . One of my kids was born in USA almost 15 years ago in navada. So we have pantry with all amercain candy and staples kids love it .

Only that dollar tree is really big with higher prices I never seen before. Not every dollar tree is like that. Not every dollar tree have the freezer section. Most dollar trees are smaller and similar. I think that dollar tree is bigger because it’s Florida only. That’s not your norm of the dollar tree. Yes the freeze dried fruits are a rip off of empty space and fruit ratio for that price. They know to trick you with things. Just like chips/crisps tricks you with loads of empty air spaces.

Dollar Tree used to sell everything for $1.00 or less then select markets went to $1.25 with wages and other factors then everything became $1.25 and now their trying $1.25 to $10.00 the price hike has mostly happened under our current US President. The Coco Pebbles are named after the daughter in the US animated TV series the Flintstones the also licensed children's vitamins and the show was sponsored by their own products and fruit juice brand after originally being sponsored by a tobacco company due to the show originally being marketed to adults. American product's might have more sugar than your used to and might have ingredients banned un the UK and elsewhere.

I’ve watched 8 videos and have noticed that Bob controls everything with subtle and indirect pressure to do and get what he wants. Several times there were direct pressure and shaming (covered with a laugh). His wife and son seem to have been conditioned to defer to him immediately. I don’t see much “freedom” in this family but they do seem genuinely happy. Maybe Bob is just feeling the pressure of keeping the video moving forward.
