The tiles are beautiful Amy. I love the color they turned out. I have watched the entire process and it shows how long a process it really is...especially with children. I once had a counted cross stitch picture that took 10 years whilst raising 4 children. You are an amazing mum and all around superwoman. Marc is doing a good job too😸 Clemon's cake looks delicious. So sweet. 👼

Ha ha - yes with little kids it seems to take 100 times longer to do anything - no idea how you coped with four!!!

Get that guy a workbench! He could be practicing his tile making! Really, the more choices they have when young, the more likely they'll find what they're passionate about! And really isn't that kinda like Play Dough? He can have his own little vegetable garden & a flower garden & learn all about bee's & worms. Between Amy & Marc he & Juliette will grow into fine adults! ❤❤❤❤

What a lovely result!!! ♥️♥️♥️ I love Clement’s little work station!!! My dad built us something similar when we were kids, with real child-sized tools. I still sometimes use the drill, because the hand-crank “cordless” drill fits into small spaces a bulky battery powered one won’t, and I don’t have to plug anything in. I’m sure that, like me, your kids will have many fond memories of creating things there. 🙂♥️♥️♥️

I have a suggestion about "finding things." You have a central tool shed or boot room, I'm sure. Pick whichever would work and put up a chalk or white board, and for things you KNOW you'll be looking for like "step ladder" or "paint tray", or "leaf/metal rake," etc. (whatever thing it is you regularly find yourself looking for!), the last person who has it that day, marks where it is on their way back into the house!

✨congratulations✨ Those tiles a beautiful !!! Rich color. …a paint brush tip… The metal band that holds the hair of the brush is called a ferrule - for optimum control of the brush, put thumb on the ferrule on 1 side and four fingers on the other … only dip the bristles 1/3-1/2 way into paint (that’s about the same depth) never letting paint touch the ferrule. Always scrape excess paint in the same place of the paint container. That way you’ll have a clean place inside the container to lean your brush if you must set it down.

It is wonderful that the children are involved, especially the young carpenter. My son, at about the same age, was encouraged by my father to 'work' alongside him. My son is now building the most exquisite furniture , but it all started with sawing bits of wood helped and encouraged by Papa. I do appreciate what you are doing with the chateau. These old estates were self sufficient in times past, I am glad you are trying to do the same. My children grew up in England in a large old house, they remember the wonderful times with freedom, tennis , dinner on the lawns with lights in the trees, faithful dogs and... quite illegal getting out of windows and playing on the roofs ! They, of course, don't remember the cold, the endless work to keep the garden under control (there had been five gardeners before we lived there ) and floors that didn't meet the walls. They now think of it as a magical childhood. I know your children will have similarly wonderful memories.. I love your videos , please keep making them. Many blessings from ex pats in Texas.

Absolutely gorgeous tiles. They look like they've always been there but they don't have to be perfect they don't have to be square as if they had been original to the bathroom you would have left them. You would have embraced the beauty of them and knowing that the workmanship that went into them and the person that laid them so graciously had made adaptations for imperfections. Relax enjoy the process.
