Can we get our 1952 Riley RMB running correctly?

We’re back on the ‘52 Riley RMB that we saved from being cut up. Last time we got it to fire but it didn’t run very well. In this video we took the time to clean up the carbs, replace the spark plugs and adjust the valves, now we’re going to see if we can get it to run and maybe even idle. We may see if we can get it to move under its own power, get the brakes working, and work on the cooling system in the upcoming weeks. Our local British Car Day is coming up in 3 weeks……

Glad you saved it from the Crushers ----- A little work as you did --- it sounds pretty good ---- probably with putting a few miles on her -- the compression may come up -- loosening up the rings ---- It's a Good Save ----- Hope you have a Good Week -- Rodney

Dear Sir, saw that you were wondering about the weeping of coolant at the bottom where the engine meets the clutch bellhousing. I checcked the workshop manual (which is available as a download from the NZ or AUS Riley club) and sure enough under A 4.4 in the arcane nomenclature of the Riley Boffins, there are indeed two core plugs in the cylinder head alone that are suspiciously close enough to be checked by you. Further core plugs may be be located in the casting of the block back there as well. Do hope you have an easy fix and can continue to save that ol´ gal...

Those carbs look like the carbs that were on my MG Magnette.

The Magnette carbs would be the same as on an MGA, which do look pretty close
