The views from the top were amazing. The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has done a great job. I certainly hope they are able to keep raising the funding needed to keep it in great condition.

Used to look in wonder over at Spurn from the beach at Cleethorpes as a nipper in the mid 1950's. Fast forward 40 years and I visited Spurn by car. You could drive right to the end then before the sea breached it. Lots of military remains but the movement of the spit over the years and erosion means much is being lost to the sea. Thanks for the post, you couldn't get in the lighthouse when I was last there but I've now seen inside.

Really liked this video Andy and Ben! a treat to see Spurn and its' treasures as a trip there in person is out of the question for me. Cheers from Canada!

Southwold has a Good Lighthouse. Now that would be the ideal place to drink Adnams Beer

I do love a lighthouse. And a foghorn. And a cheeky gift shop.

Great video, mates. The displays look interesting, and the view from the upper stage sure makes you think about the sea better no get too angry. People like Dave are part of why I recommend some museums over others. The human factor. We have several lighthouse museums here in the Argie coast, and they're notoriously difficult to maintain. My respect to the Trust for all the hard work they've put into it and into the area. You dad was an AC/DC fan? Absolute Ace! Well done, Andy & Ben. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. Cheers.

Hello there :) The sea can certainly be unforgiving. Yes my dad was a rocker - all heavy metal and rock and blues were his music and passion. He was a DJ for many years playing pubs and clubs in the local area. Dad was my friend and hero.
