Don't know if you'll read that but the reason we summon lovely off of welcome first instead of big welcome is because it dodges ash. If they don't ash welcome, lovely protects the big welcome from ash since you cannot answer trap effs with a minster if lovely is on the field. Ngl, Joshua Schmidt told me this one, he casually dropped it as an obvious knowledge when I had never known lovely had this effect.

I think you should earn points based on how far off your guess was. Like maybe 4 for rank and tier, 3 for just rank, 2 for rank off by one, and 1 for rank off by two. That way you can just set a number of replays to watch and always have a winner afterwards instead of getting zero points over and over and having to just quit when you guys get bored.

Thoughts: this is fun. I think guessing the tier within the rank isn't really that helpful and maybe it should just be as a tiebreaker, if both people guess the same rank. It is potentially fun though as an additional thing to talk about so maybe it's fine.

Ranks are kinda irrelevant when it comes to skill representation because it's really quick to rank up if you know how and it's very quick to make alt accounts to craft different decks for free without spending money. Also a lot of people don't rank up higher than 1 division per season so they stick to only gold or plat , get their monly rank up gems and derank at the end of the month.

fun to watch but guessing ranks in MD doesnt make too much sense. with resets every month if you take off a few months you can go from the top to the bottom. also if you log in just for gems and not to grind you can be severely underrepresented. for example back before master rank was introduced i was d1 every reset, now i stay s1 for easy monthly gems.
