Thank you for saying it. We aren't the most mindful with words, and the ignorance in our society is fueling the entitlement.

Our brain doesn't release a happy chemical until it sees a way to meet a survival need, like food, safety, and social support, but they are quickly metabolized and when the spurt is over, we feel like something is wrong- you can feel that after finishing a good book, your favorite TV series, or a delicious dessert- and we want more of these great feelings. This is why we can end up overdoing unhealthy happy habits. Instead of blaming society for our neurochemicals' ups and downs, we can rewire our brains for new behaviors and healthier habits. 'Happiness' takes practice. Thank you, Gregory, for your unwavering dedication and support. I'm grateful to be part of The Brain Academy and to learn and share knowledge with everyone every Monday.

I agree💯you can learn to be happy. You can also choose to be happy, and you can only do so by being aware of your daily function

I agree that we can not be happy all the time; however, from my spiritual teachings, if you learn how to not be attached to the emotions, you will be in control and be able change the emotions at will to be happy. It is being able to observe in a silent space. We, as the spirit soul, can actually tell the brain what to do. It's being able to have full consciousness and awareness of the spiritual being and what's going on with the physical body.

The struggle is part of the karmic play. The question is, how we face it.

So happy to see this you tube Gregory and here from some of my old friends . I have missed being part of the weekly group zoom meeting during the school year as I was teaching . But I can say I am still mindful every day of what I have learned during my time as part of the group and I am so grateful. I have a few other things I have had in my journey that this training has helped me though . 😊 I do have a few new medications that I must take now due to a Mini stroke (no worries no damage as it was caught quickly ) that cause depression but now I do not worry too much about it as I know what causes it and how to deal with it. There is a theory that concept of happiness leads to better grades in the class room as supposedly it motivates us . Not sure that it is true as sometimes theories are hard to prove . But regardless I think children respond better in my experience but I am not sure every one has the same opinion or experience . Sometimes we are confused about it and some thing happiness is laughter and fun and games . But the feeling we get from happiness can be generated when we learn something or attain a goal .. so I do agree with the comments . Great you tube ..thanks for sharing kind regards Dave Outlaw .
