I once saw a cryptid, I was walking through the woods, there was no one around and my phone was dead. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted him. He was following me, about thirty feet back. He gets down on all fours and breaks into a sprint, he was moving so fast he was gaining on me. I was looking for my car but I was all turned around, he was almost upon me when I could see there was blood on his face... my god there was blood everywhere. In Michigan we had a cryptid known as "The Dogman" started as a joke between some Radio show host guys on April fool's, but after it aired, the studio got flooded with phone calls from people everywhere in Michigan saying they had encountered The Dogman, it's kind of a Michigan variation of a werewolf, but it only appears every ten years, instead of every full moon, specifically the years ending with 7 it appears, but there have been reported encounters in between during the ten year 'reprieve.' There was a cryptid in Pennsylvania by the name of Green Man, who was a horribly disfigured creature that walked the streets at night. Turns out it was actually a man by the name of Raymond Robinson who, as a child, was nearly killed after touching an electrical line while trying to get a birds nest. There was a picture of a cryptid called the swamp ape of Florida. The picture is really convincing that no one can really tell if it’s fake or not. The swamp ape in the picture is hiding behind a leaf and it’s looking at a camera.

There's a theory that if supernatural beings were to exist, they'd have enough sense to realize that if they were caught by a camera, they'd eventually get discovered and hunt down. Let's be honest, if there was a 5 minute video of a supernatural creature caught on camera, the military, or some militia, would probably hunt it down. Today we have technology advanced enough to kill just about anything. Considering we can nuke the entire world, our chances at putting down a bigfoot, a yeti or a... idk, demon thing, are pretty good. So if these things existed, and if they were smart enough, they would be more sneaky and careful in this day and age. Probably on prey on poor people in small towns, or 3rd world countries. And no one would ever know. The locals probably wouldn't have a clue what happened, and if they did, who are they going to tell without sounding crazy and being dismissed. All that said I have no experience with anything that's shook me enough to believe in anything supernatural. I'm open to those experiences, but I just haven't had any yet. So this is just a bunch of "what if"'s and "wouldn't it be cool"'s. It's fascinating to think about the possibilities, and terrifying. Most of us will probably die never understanding even a fraction of what goes on in this universe of ours. If there's no afterlife, then who knows how much we're going to miss out on, how much extraordinary things are out there that we'll never know about. Anyway... that's all. Good night

When I was a kid I would constantly, from about age 9-13, see this tall werewolf like creature, I wrote stories about it and drew it a lot. I then just called it a hallucination, but oddly enough, after I had my “encounters” with it, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. Then I made the connection with this character to anxiety, depression and hallucinations. Senior year I wrote a story about him for a creative writing class. Sadly, dyslexia doesn’t do well in a creative writing class, so I wrote a incoherent mess. 4 Years later and I’m getting a lot better at writing, and want to rewrite the tale of this odd creature.

You can search for "mythic creature dream meaning" or "mythical" or "mystic" or whatever other keywords you want to try, you can search the dream meaning of wolves, the dream meaning of animal human hybirds dream meaning, pay attention to the way you felt in the dream, were you in a forest? A city? A beach? What color was the sky? Was it raining? These are all indicators to the dream meaning as well. If the sky was gray in a city when you saw the werewolf, the dream could mean one thing, if you saw it on a beach and the sky was purple at sunset, it could mean another thing. Good luck with the dream interpretation search.

The I-35 bridge collapse was very scary. The thing is my dad was a teacher in Minneapolis at the time and always took that bridge to and from work. However that day right before he got on the bridge, he had a feeling he should take a different way home. So right before he got to the bridge he took the exit and a different route. The news of the collapse was on his radio a few minutes later and he would have been on the bridge during the collapse (traffic was very slow) if he didnt take a different route. I still remember my mom watching the news so worried and checking every possible car on tv until he got home.

My grandpa didn't usually make up stories. The only questionable thing he ever said was this story. When he was a little boy, he was out with some friends, riding in the bed of a truck on the farm. They stopped near the woods, and he got off. Suddenly, a huge, black, cat-like creature ran out of the woods. He hopped back on the truck and yelled "GO!" The other guys had seen it, so the driver went. It chased them for a bit, but it couldn't keep up. There are similar sightings around the area. The only big cat that lives here is the mountain lion. We think it's a genetic anomaly that causes a mountain lion to be black. Kind of like the opposite of albino. A similar thing occurs in deer.

The actual physical shape of mothman down to the huge glowing eyes, wings and large size really just sounds like a great horned owl to me to be honest. Owls can look pretty creepy in the dark or illuminated by headlamps.

@@treeman73272 Actually, it does: many animals, especially nocturnals, will have their retina reflecting heavily if they're looking in the general direction of a light source, which can totally be mistaken with fiery demonic eyes (Example: If you ever lived near horses and had to take a stroll at night, you understand the sheer terror of walking outside in a pitch black night with a headlamp and suddenly seeing those enormous glowing red eyes looking at you at 7ft from the ground)
