We did this a while back with Ganondorf, now let's see if we can do it with one of the other worst characters in all of Smash Ultimate - Piranha Plant! Let's put our brains together and see what we can do to make this weed actually kinda viable. And plus we get to watch Cosmos get destroyed by Plant.

As someone who used to play piranhaplant in tournaments, you missed one buff to his recovery and its the main problem with up b. Piranhaplant up b does not grab ledge when the head reaches it but instead when the pot reaches it so it is the easiest move to two frame, i have gotten two framed with ness bat because of this, make the ledge grab trigger with the head reaching the ledge or make the head invincible during up b.

There's no 2 frame hotbox on tight angles. Once you master how to use it it's actually one of the best recoveries in the game IMO.

@@happycamperds9917 I would have to disagree, while the tight angle does help immensely with the two framing the only good thing about it after that is distance but since it has no maneuverability you just become a very easy target to spike/edge gaurd.

The idea of Down-B being a command grab got me so excited dude Imagine if, instead of Down-B pulling the opponent to you, it pulls you to the opponent and does that little bonk thing that whiffing Incineroar Side-B does, and then you could follow up with drag-down Nair, Ptooey or double-jump down-air

Pirhana plant needs intangiblity on its head for a few of its moves. Up-smash and F-tilt only have it on the lips which is weird. Also make his head intangible during ledge grab because he is by far the easiest character to 2 frame because the head pokes above the stage.

On the subject of changing characters . . . You know zss’s win screen, the one where she raises her leg in a high, slow arc? Speed that up and make it her up tilt. It has to combo into up air when character enters tumble.

In my opinion, a tier list doesn’t matter when it comes to choosing your main, cuz if your actually GOOD at the game, you can beat players with good or bad characters. Some people just think that taking the easy way out and picking someone too tier (I’m looking at you Steve) means you’ll automatically be good.

I was playing world of light the other day and had Piranha Plant with speed buffs and found out being faster in exchange of being lighter could really work for plant, youre not good in neutral but you can edgeguard faster and easier

Side be needs to come out faster. Backair needs a massive aerial lag reduction. If you fastfall backair from the ledge you literally die. Up tilt needs to hit grounded opponents on the sides of him like little mac or falco. Down b should be aimable instead of just slowly rotating to a side. His up b needs a hitbox on his head and it needs to be less 2 frameable. Nair needs less landing lag so you can reliably combo out of it.

Piranha Plant has 3 air stalls that all force the opponent to commit to options or can mix-up you timings and Plant can up b from the corner and get back. I don't get this bad recovery claim. It's not as exploitable as it looks even on the up-b I usually scoop people in it and stage spike them for edge guarding without a disjoint. Obviously a good player with most tools can his Plant's up-b but BAD makes it sound like one of the actual bad recoveries and it's better than average for sure. Plant is good off stage. It's not just the ledge, Plant is almost better off stage completely. GO pranking people off stage with Plant, it's fun and intuitive. And you can always make it back. I'd like to see more Plant's living off stage like they float above their home pipes with LETHAL GRACE.

His up b is incredibly 2 frameable and without a jump he's defenseless. At least when you go to spike most characters, theres a hitbox that might trip you up on their up b but pirranha plants is on the side where its useless.

@@meesironman patooie and down b are both air stalls and hit boxes. You can mix your ledges timings and he can't be defenseless with the air stalls that have hit boxes and always enough time to use all three. You're playing in 5mil GSP

You're over here claiming I'm at low gsp when you're the one playing against opponents who apparently aren't competent enough to wait out a couple very slow and obvious air stalls. Not to mention, his "unstoppable" air stalls all have plenty of counter play that a decent opponent will capitalize on. Have you never ran into a captain falcon that up b's you right after you do an off stage down b? Have you ever had an offstage patooie reflected back at you and you die at 60? What about when a lucina just waits and then counters your recovery? What about ness sitting there down smashing? Stall all you want, a good player is going to get you regardless (maybe one day you'll run into one!). Sometimes stalling only gives them more time to set up. Instead of making unbased claims try actually playing the game.
