"Can We Put Concrete in the Bushes???" Ummm...

I made sure Francisco didn't poke his eyes out, the guys kept losing things, and yes, they wanted to pour concrete in the bushes 😀 Join me as I pour my last paid concrete job of the season on a cold October day.

When you’re still driving rusted out buckets and the boss has a three vehicles to himself, cars for all his kids and wife, a nice house on a big piece of land, owns four skid steers, two large trucks, an f350, several trailers, rents space on two properties, own another larger piece of property then I think it’s ok for the employees to think the boss is loaded which he is. 😅

You learned a lesson that day that I learned decades ago. You literally have to hand people eye protection (or PPE) for them to use it. They always have excuses why they don't need it. Remember, it's on YOU if they get hurt. Even if they try to refuse them, they'll still blame you when they get hurt. Don't take "no" for an answer, force your guys to use PPE.

Just ask your dispatcher about High early cement mix. You can pour it and drive on it a day or two later. A lot big companies will use when there pouring a approach, pour half of it one day, the next day pour the other half. That way your not completely blocking traffic.
