Someone was going on and on about possible mistakes or bad translation etc. I finally stopped him and said; Do you think that the God who created heaven and earth, set the sun and stars and moon in the sky, breathed life into man, are you saying He is unable to cause His word of truth to be written down in perfect order ?

Also when I'm confused or just need answers about different things that come up in My life, I ask the Lord to show me in his word, the answers and low and behold, bang I'm go and start reading and it's like hay I've never seen this before then I cross reference and it all of a sudden makes sense, not like thus says the Lord, no but in language that I understand and relate too, can't tell you how many times that's happened, I don't profess to be the sharpest knife in the block, but God gives me wisdom to understand things I never really understood before, the word of God, the right translation is critical to our growth as Christians.

I really liked this defence off the gospels! But I don't have the names of the books so I have yo hear it again. I van read about " good coffee" or meat, but there are no time stamps either. I' m from Argentina and find it disturbing to have propaganda right in the middle of a scholarly speach. Thanks for all you do anyway!

@claudiaperfetti7694 no its not propaganda its how she covers expenses of this program and distribution over utube Facebook and other means is very expensive plus this is a important source of income for her family, she doesn't ask money from he listener's she supports herself so good meat, good coffee is and excellent way to do this , it produces revenue for the company and they give her money because she makes money for them, this is godly and most appropriate, it's much better then asking people to pay for the gospel they hear, to ask money to bless someone or to pray for someone is wrong, is sin, offensive and insulting to a Holy God.

The Gospel of John chapter 20:3-8 has some of the most compelling evidence of being genuine. In those verses, John has to mention 3 separate times that he can run faster than Peter. Anyone who knows about best friends, especially guys, knows that this is just the type of thing that a friend would slip into his narrative. "The disciple that Jesus loved" wouldn't refer to himself by name, but he made sure that posterity would know that he could outrun his best friend who was named after a rock.

I often wish that the disclaimer in the very first episode would be aired before EVERY episode. I know Dallas repeats and reminds us that this is a TV show in the livestreams and various interviews, but not everyone sees those. Still, there are many that jave been offended from the first episode. Here's a copy od the disclaimer: “The Chosen is based on the true stories of the gospels of Jesus Christ. "the theological winners got the right to write the Gospels, how do we respond to that?" our first instinct as Christians is usually to make a counterclaim, which puts further burden of proof upon us, instead of asking the person making the original claim to substantiate THEIR claim, and so we fall into this trap of getting overwhelmed by not having all the answers, when in fact it's the one making the claim that has the burden of proof to give answers for the things they claim. You see, when we preach the Gospel and share our testimony, we make claims, and the burden of proof is on us, and so people can ask us questions regarding the things that we claim, that's fair, BUT, when they start making STATEMENTS AND CLAIMS, the burden of proof lies with them, but as Christians we generally don't recognize that and ask them questions about their claims, but rather proceed with answer after answer to which they respond with question after question until we run out of answers and then we're stumped and they walk away thinking "skeptic destroys Christian" and it might really happen that we start questioning our OWN beliefs instead of questioning the skeptic's claims

@@Gnahtte I actually have not, but I'd like to 😁It's really standard courtroom practice that if you bring a case or the state brings a case you, the plaintiff (civil) or prosecution (criminal) has the burden of proof to substantiate their case, and if there's not enough evidence to proceed, the case gets thrown out, and so when we shift the burden of proof, the skeptic becomes the plaintiff in reconvention, because now they are the ones bringing cases

Also sorry to hog the comment section, 40 years ago, and I'm 66, I sang in a group and this church wanted songs that reflected there beliefs, back then no reference to Jesus, the cross, the blood, or patriarchy of any kind, they wanted a neutral generic God, I told Rick our guitar player, who was approached and asked he thought it was interesting I told him he was nuts to consider it, even then I knew the inerrancy of scripture pertaining to a sovereign Holy God.

All I know is this and I'm not a scholar I have dyslexia so I'd be spending all day with spell check, lol, no seriously if we have the Holy Spirit inside of us, hr bears witness of the truth, that's why some translations alarm bells go off, it's funny how that happens with me, it's like nope this just doesn't sound or read right, it's like a feeling of offense comes over me very interesting but undeniable.
