Not many people have brought up that Headbutt, you an Boxtalk. It stunk of desperation.Fury's team played a blinder this week, not letting Wlad away with anything.

Klitschko was a boxer that believed in having clear advantages. His whole career was based on that. It's his whole mind frame. He acts like he's a specialist of the mind but he's nowhere near to controlling his own. An opposition fighter having any possible advantage clearly rattled him completely
@FearedAudacity9 жыл бұрын
Klitschko is a top 10 great HW IMO. He deserves respect but I also understand peoples concerns with his legacy (from picking fights when it suited him to indifferent drug testing).

He must take the rematch and take it to Fury if he wants to be considered as one of the very best. If he has the heart I think he could stop Fury. He had to take chances to win - but didn't, basically surrendering his titles. It was actually very surprising to see him not going for it. I knew he didn't like to engage - but this situation demanded it!! He is blessed with power and should have used it.

@HatmanStrikesBack of all your work on KZbin, this is your best boxing video of all... I have enjoyed a lot of your videos about chronicles of a bounce and topical Tuesdays. In my opinion, the best vid I saw of yours was Mayweather talking about "What has Africa Done For Me" video... I know that isn't the correct title but think it was a two part series and it is a close enough description of the video but this is an actual boxing related video and not about a fighter outside the ring. I hope you read this so you know what truely good work you do in the world of freelance media and just opening peoples minds to what really go's on in the sport we all love... Hatman, I wish I had half the patience and commitment you execute in your videos... 👍

Even if Klitschko wins the rematch with Fury ( I personally don't think he will ) it looks like the Klitschko Era is over. Klitschko was always more physically gifted rather than having actual boxing talent just my opinion. However you are right the lack of heart and the fear of getting hit cost him big time with Fury even when he started to go for it in the 12th round, Fury never looked to be in serious trouble and I bet those were some of Klitchko's hardest punches too.
@johnnyzee3839 жыл бұрын
Good anaylisis but as with all old fighters, the first thing that goes is your timing. Why?..because your body slows just enough that when your brain says, "NOW!...Theres the opening, throw the right hand...and body takes a split second longer to react, the opprotunity is gone, the opponent has moved..so you dont throw a punch. I used to box and this my friend is what happens. It was painfully obvious and its the same thing that happens to all the old fighters once they get past their prime. I do agree that Wlad was unwilling to take risks and go after Tyson and try and land some punches..Tyson won the fight but alot of the rounds were very close, and this is with a fighter who hardly threw any punches!. The rematch as history tells us will be worse for Wlad. I believe in the fight if Tyson really wanted to he could have stopped Wlad who looked vulnerable. In the rematch I thinkTyson will be much better and be able to stop him. Wlad cant do any better and thats how the tune will go down.
@heavyweightboxingfan22699 жыл бұрын
Wladimir was inexperienced when he punched himself out against Puritty and had never went past the 8th round before, not the first time that has happened to a boxer. There was something medically wrong with Wladimir in the Brewster fight. Wladimir will go away and look at the tapes, and make the right adjustments to Fury's new style. He will get quicker sparring partner that outreach him, and a trainer he actually listens to in the corner. Wladimir will win rematch.
@heavyweightboxingfan22699 жыл бұрын
+Barabus69er Because he never brought up Sanders in the video. Wladimir will make adjustments, and take more risks for the next fight. Wladimir was not prepared for the style Fury used in that fight, because Fury had never used it before. Fury has gave away his game now, and Wladimir will figure out how to beat him. Wladimir could also do with quicker sparring partners, noted of the slow ones he picked, and a trainer he actually listens to.

+Heavyweightboxing Fan Wlad is 40 years old or near abouts. He can only do stuff that he has done before. like fury said "anything you can bring to the ring, you have done before" Tyson already has more wrinkles to his game than wlad everything fury did was kryptonite. Wlad cannot and has never done anything without his jab and furys headmovement completely negated that. What is wlad going to do that he couldnt do in this fights.

+Sami / "in round 12 he came back and had Fury on the ropes barely hanging on" Did he? He landed 1 or 2 good power shots but Fury wasn't in that much danger of being knocked out and Klitschko kept holding after he landed those shots rather than trying to finish him, which he probably would've done if Fury really was just holding on against the ropes

Agree about Vlad, a fundamental of fighting is courage and digging deep, it is one of the metrics I measure a boxer or mma fighter by, without that metric it is always smoke and mirrors. Vitali had the courage but failed to topple Lewis, everything is relative.

When did Mike Tyson ever gut out a win? Every time he was truly challenged, he failed....just like Wladimir. Ofcourse Tyson was more' aggressive than Klitschko because he was a 5'11" heavyweight while Wlad is 6'6". Also, Nearly all A-Side fighters stack the odds in their favor. Leonard, De La Hoya, Mayweather and yes Klitschko too. I also think Klitschko is an all time great and certainly beat better opposition than Larry Holmes and Joe Louis so I respectfully disagree on that. The only things I truly agree with are (a) Klitschko" tried to headbutt Fury although Fury was being a bit dirty too... and (b): Wladimir does not have a' great warrior's heart. A 39 year old Klitschko does not have to beat Tyson Fury to be great. He already is great. That said, I'm happy Fury won and I hope he wins the rematch.
@evoste9 жыл бұрын
+Bustaph Enzerheimen Agree with some of what you say, however I would make a few distinctions. Firstly A-side is a term and a distinction that is recent to the sport of boxing, yes I would agree that Leonard was one of the first with this, however Leonard STILL took big risks against fighters like Hagler even though he stacked the shit in his favour. Even Oscar took some big risks.... The other guys you mention did not.....

The problem for Wlad in the rematch imo, is I believe Tyson Fury when he stated afterwards that he was only operating at 60% of his potential....1. His hands were sore from getting damaged from dubious ill fitting gloves in sparring that prevented him from being able to punch through the target and to fight in close quarters, I noticed pre fight when fury was on the pads that he was pulling his punches, in particular the right hand.... 2. His feet were being damaged from the suspect padding in the ring, which wouldnt of helped with his footwork in terms of planting his feet and getting inside....... Its funny because it more likely Fury will be the one who will get braver, more confident if there is an rematch, even though Fury won, he was the one with the genuine issues, while Wlad and his brother openly admitted at the press conference that they dont know what went wrong and cant put an finger on it
@Aka_daka9 жыл бұрын
+IRISHNK I am still bamboozled as to why Wlad didn't throw any right hands he hesitated so much it's not like Fury was not in range at times he decided to fucking clinch wtf? he's getting worse and worse the more watch him the Povetkin fight was terrible and Jennings fight was cringe worthy against no hoper 6.2ft guy..
@circleinfinite9 жыл бұрын
+DarthMuse he sad fury was to fast and he cound not find range. if vlad cant connect with jabs due to furys expert headmovement and speed and range of jab. then he would get countered or risk being KO'ed if he tries a right. wlad can only throw rights after finding range from successful lefts. He was too robotic to adjust to furys vastly superior creativity,ring IQ and overall craft yes i said it.
CircleInfinite Wlad's performance was terrible both landed 23% of there punchers but Fury just threw more If Klitschko had more heart he could of won, I honestly think God forgot to give this guy a heart lol :(

Hatman mate you are 100% right about wladimir I have always said wlad lacks courage and heart and has never beat a natural heavyweight it's stuipd that wlad gets all this credit for beating up cruserweights and journeyman his best win is against Alexander povetkin which he didint deserve to win he should have lost that fight due to disqualified any fighter with the heart and courage to go the inside would beat wlad even smaller heavyweights like rocky Marciano jack Dempsey and joe Frazier would smash wladimir to bits!
@AngelBlackwellX9 жыл бұрын
Courage is from the fight or flight mechanism and can't be changed. It's innate & Wladimir doesn't have it. I think Klitschko should have a final easy fight then retire!
