Can You Beat GTA IV With No Wanted Stars?

Let me know if there are any wanted stars I could’ve avoided! Also I know people have mentioned there’s a good mod to lower fps/fix issues with the physics and some cutscenes but I wanted to avoid all mods (even tho I’m 99.9% sure the one mentioned wouldn’t affect stats) - The 2 stars in Undertaker can actually be avoided as @abluecar5375 pointed out. In Derrick’s funeral you get chased by cops, but in Francis’ funeral no cops chase you. So if you do this challenge kill Francis since his remove wanted stars ability is useless anyway.

I love Rockshit's attention to detail in GTAlV. Francis McReary can only remove up to 3 stars from Niko because after that the feds take over the pursuit, but the "law chick" Niko can date is able to remove ALL 6 because she's Niko's very own Saul Goodman.

Totally agreed I think it still looks amazing and a lot of the attention to detail is super impressive even by 2024 standards. Wish the PC port was less buggy but it still holds up really well

No no, youre 100% right. one reason gta4 still holds up is because it was so ahead of its time, both in graphics and storytelling. Rockstar really outdone themselves with this one. But yea, its sad the pc port is so broken... maybe theyll fix it in a "def.edition", assuming they wont outsource the project again, lol

I played GTA IV after GTA V but i LOVE that game. Everything is perfect. Driving system, shooting, story, characters, ragdoll, and of course whole world is that detailed that i wouldn't thought that game has 15 yo(maybe just because of graphics)

I think there's a deadzone for gta 4, probably due to it being "wonderfully" ported from consoles. I think a mod fixes that, but that's against the rules.

Yep exactly that! Makes aiming in this game much less satisfying bc I often would need to step to the right/left instead of moving my mouse to aim more precisely lol. Definitely some mods could’ve fixed this, but I mostly didn’t use those since I wasn’t sure how they would affect wanted stars and cause the actual number to be higher/lower than it should be.

6:27 the reason controlling bikes are so difficult in this game is that many play at over 60fps. For whatever reason, playing over 60fps breaks bike physics and you will slide all over the place you dont even need mods to correct this. just lock the game to 60 in the graphics settings

Initially yes, but that’s why I replayed the mission where I stole a car for Brucie so I could have an extra car. I didn’t need to turn in a cop car specifically, but Manny took whatever car I drove during that mission. Since I had a car that wasn’t a cop car I let him take that one instead. But also having two cop cars saved ended up being useless since I really only needed to have one for a few missions during the whole story lol.

Don't lean forward when turning, or at low speed etc. It just makes the rear tire loose and spin, making it hard to drive for some reasons.

The reason bikes were so hard to control was because you probably didn't limit the game to 60fps. Past 60 the bike physics get out of whack

The police chasing you in Undertaker has nothing to do with the PC port If you killed Derrick in Blood Brothers, the funeral would be different compared to Francis's funeral In Francis's funeral, the cops won't chase you, but in Derrick's, they will

Yep it’s a real thing but it only happens when you drop a friend off and the passenger side of the car is blocked so the only way for them to get out is to kick Niko out of the car and exit through the driver’s side lol
