tbh instead of dying to regain health you could’ve went to kirbys house and slept in the bed to heal to full hp also what about the potions at weapon shop waddle dees place? You are not really eating the items he gives you.

2:34 the reason kirby can't swallow cars and stuff in forgotten land is because he went through the vortex at the start of the game and that seemingly messed up his inhaling abilities for larger objects. although, i guess it's implied that he can't usually inhale larger things anyways, since the clip here is when he has the hypernova ability which is what actually allows him to swallow an entire tree.. i guess the mechanics of kirby's stomach are a little uncertain after all

While I would consider Drinks to be a valid and a good question, it makes more sense for the entire challenge to include them when Food items have the same effect. And a No Swallow Challenge doesn't have the same ring to it.

Fun fact: During the Pipe-mouth section in "Gathering of the Beast Council", the jump that gave you so much trouble is completely trivial. You don't even have to jump, you just... *roll* off the edge.

By jumping over the green pumpkin you don’t gain enough momentum to just roll off the edge because your momentum only changes while you’re on a slope. While airborne, you’re not gaining the momentum needed for the intended solution.

Basically since you lose momentum after jumping over the food, it puts you in the odds position where just rolling off doesn't quite get you to the bottom one, but jumping doesn't quite get you to the top one. You end up having to time it so you're jumping, aiming for the bottom one.

It should certainly be possible, Kirby's bed can substitute food and talking to the manikins in the armory lets you get the ability without eating the hat. Unless there's some point where we are on rails and the rails have food, we should be good to go.

You can get copy essences from Minibosses by destroying their bodies using the slide. Essence will pop up without needing to swallow

In the waddle dee coyp ability room you can easily get any copy ability by getting close to it and pressing the A button and you just press A to equip it

I always found beating kirby bosses without abilities to be far more rewarding as you have to actually learn their attack patterns to suck up the impact stars... except for the meta knight boss fight... that one sucks without abilities

I would argue that copy essences are actually eating; by definition, I think Kirby has to eat something to get an ability and although you don't see him eat it, you also don't see him eat the food on the ground if you run into it. So... I don't know.

Yea im gonna debate mouthful mode not being eating, you dont swallow gum, but that's considered eating. Plus kirby wants to eat the thing, he just doesn't quite swallow it. Not my rules though, i can't force it
