Fun fact, the gun only has one bullet because Echo was saving it for himself. You only get more ammo for the sidekick when chief literally grabs a magazine that's floating around a dead marine.

The hunters in this game actually feel like they have always been intended to be like, they are genuinely terrifying. They hurt. A lot. Like, a lot. They are honest to God horrifying. Even on lower difficulties. They hit hard, they are actually really good at protecting their backs and other parts of their bodies, and when they rage upon their brother’s death, they go fuckin ham. Yeah I couldn't do my typical tactic of hit them in the back and bait them to do that turn around attack. you can still do that to the first one (not on the special hunters though) but when the other one goes into a rage that's not really an option anymore.

I found it pretty easy to just shoot them in the knees, it feels a little bit like cheating , but the knee weak spot is pretty big and it only takes a one or two clips from a mangler to down it.

Hunters to me were so incredibly hard in this halo compared to previous halos unless i had a needler, the needler carried SOOOO hard in halo infinite, they're so good this time around. Hunters hardly ever gave you the chance to shoot its back(at least for my playthrough), trying to bait out a melee attack hardly works since they instantly turn around right after the animation, plus they keep their range so much unless they're in their rage form/thingy

I’m doing my own (non recorded) “challenge” run of using only the Sidekick for the main missions. And it’s actually not much of a challenge. That thing is amazing. I did a few side objectives with other guns just so I could see how they felt, and honestly I prefer the Sidekick to pretty much all other weapons. The Commando is a close second but the only thing that could beat the Sidekick in my mind is the DMR. Commando’s close but it’s not the DMR.

I love using the Sidekick, both in multiplayer and in the campaign. That low bloom is incredible, there's definitely a few other weapons I prefer but it's really high up there for me.

They are. Feels unbalanced coming from previous halos where they were tough but not made to be unduly painful. Turn speed is jacked up real high on these ballerina wannabes for some reason so the back weak spot, which has been the intended weak spot the entire series and is very heavily covered in lore pieces from CE to the books and everywhere, is basically impossible to touch. Gotta cheese them with exploding needler spam or the brand new knee weak spot. Personally I hate it, it took away the point of a slow, but strong siege unit and turned them into just a ridiculous ammo sink or gear check for "are you overpowered enough? No, then fucking die"

Against Hyperius and Tovarious there are some marines you can save near one of the AA guns (I forgot which), save them after you're done with the 3rd AA gun. In the hills above the AA gun (either eastern most or western most, again I dont remember) you can find a volatile skewer. Give it to the marines and the twin brutes are super easy, just keep their focus on you while your marine buddy does work with the skewer.

I played Legendary through with just a Mangler. Now I feel inept lmao, nice work Davey. If you're confused about Halo 5's story, basically, Cortana comes back to life, turns evil, takes control of a bunch of massive Forerunner constructs called Guardians (the things that destroy the Brute homeworld) and while she's at it, turns most of the AI across the universe to her side, and that's about it, although very summarized.

I can explain the Cortana stuff a bit. In halos 5 Cortana goes insane, hyjacks a load of forrunner mega robots that apparently exist, starts destroying a load of stuff, i think Spartan 343 self insert character sort of stopped Cortana or something, IDK i only paid attention to how master chief was hindered greatly in his quest to stop cortana not being in his head by Spartan Infinite killed him off with some grunt dialogue.

Lost Planet as a game series was weakened by a grappling hook, but only because 3 replaced the Anchor with a grappling hook. The Anchor was a better grappling hook tho, so it's only made worse on a technicality.

I think I know how the glitch happens, when you grapple the game moves you down into the ground, normally you would pop back up but when an enemy is very close you that can’t get stunned, the enemy’s foot literally shove you into the ground

23:30ish -- are you SURE no checkpoints? I just finished a LASO run where they were frustrating as hell, but in my legendary run, I would sometimes prolong boss fights for minutes extra until a checkpoint fired. I used this to end up with a checkpoint right before harbinger where final brute chieftain had barely any health (since the bs harbinger can kill you in 1 to 5 seconds if she rolls bad rolls for you) ... If that kind of delay worked here, you could get a few pounds in, run circles, then do it again - although... I thought I saw this boss heal a bit... not sure, yet, if that's a thing.

Bro I felt that pain in the end man… I really do. I play a lot of halo infinite in the multiplayer. I’ve been disconnected or the game stopped responding so many god damn times I basically can’t play ranked even though I really want to, and have had so many 15 mins bans from the CONTINUOUS disconnects, I got a new appreciation for the old games… they won’t ban me and have customization I earn my just playing the game. Sorry 343 but once this event is over I’m basically done until they add a new event with a new gamemode, different parts they meant to add ie firefight, some other modes, updating graphics, forge, better monetization, BETTER NET CODE the Desync is insane in this game sometimes. Like I love this game, it’s the best one out of all the shit that we got this year, but the bar was set pretty damn low… I’d call it more of a guilty pleasure. Great with friends or a squad, but alone is infuriating.

It took me several hours to kill Tremonius on Legendary, without doing any sort of challenge, PURELY because the game decided save checkpoint where both jackals are right in front of me, already shooting, in a fully open space, and Tremonius has a clear path to charge me. So many deaths just because of that checkpoint

I beat Heroic almost completely on grapple shot alone. Because the selection process for your armor abilities is atrocious and not at all intuitive on controller. But the first time I ever brought out another ability, and spent any armor cores other than hook, was in the forerunner gondola, because I needed cover from the sentinels. So I cornered myself with the drop wall and survived a pass that had taken me a couple attempts already.

Brute Chieftains in somewhat close quarters are just pains in the ass to deal with. I've been playing on Normal, and for the record I beat all of Bungie's games on Legendary multiple times and I beat Halo 4 on Heroic (Im not enough of a masochist to do more than that serious Halo 4's Promethean combat sections are unbearable) but Infinite, Christ I don't know if I'm just getting old or if the game is actually just harder but I don't think I've died on Normal difficulty like this since I was 9 playing the Library 😂.
