initially thought that this was a playthrough using only civilian characters with no powers or weapons and was fully prepared for a super glitchy mess but this makes way more sense and it still has plenty of skips a civilian challenge would 1000% be impossible

I thought this would be a civilian playthrough too. Wouldn't it be cheating to use villains who had been heroes? Venom's got a superhero movie series. Dark Phoenix is just Jean Grey. And when playing through the game as villains using their powers, they become superheroes. LEGO DC Supervillains had made the Legion of Doom into heroes to fight the "heroes" of Earth-3 and even teamed up with the Justice League for the last third of the game.

If I recall correctly, throwing that final object at Magneto and swinging around the Doombot can also be done by Superior Spider-Man, who I guess is kinda sorta a villain.

I feel like all the fails are just programming oversights. They would technically be able to be done by other characters, apart from the captain America switches. They work logically in universe but are prevented from being fulfilled by the programming so I'd say at least half of the fails are by technicality

Nope. That was a coincidence. TT Games decided to load the popular hero and popular villain together because of the final level. And Marvel Studios made the most ridiculous stunt casting move by recasting RDJ as Doom because of the popularity of those two characters.

I think a thing that would make this challenge easier is the fact that you gain more characters to use during some levels so if you are still technically using the same amount of characters the level gives you i think it technically counts

@@LiamNoblet95 Yes, Taskmaster is almost entirely Captain America and Hawkeye combined. He can do everything those 2 characters can do except for the shield switch, so it's kinda a shame it is one thing that prevents him from being complete combination of those two. It is little weird Dardevil can do it despite his weapon isn't even shield. I could try if Dardevil have this ability in LMA too. And I know for a fact Taskmaster doesn't have shield switch ability in that game neither.
