Time for another Minecraft challenge. This time we'll be trying to get to the end and beat the dragon while only using commands. Can we beat Minecraft as a text adventure? Let's find out.

So theoretically speaking, the minimum commands is 3: 1 to create a portal on your location, 1 to kill the dragon, and 1 to teleport into the portal.

If we're only considering viewing the credits, it can be done in 2: one to spawn an end portal to get to the end, and one to spawn an end portal within the end to leave and trigger the credits

@@Sightnado Actually, if you just need to reach the credits, it can be done in one command: /setblock ~ ~-2 ~ repeating_command_block{auto:1b,Command:"execute at @p run setblock ~ ~ ~ end_portal replace"} replace what this command does is that it replaces a block near you with a command block that doesn't require a redstone signal and will constantly be executing the command to place an end portal at the player's position, which will both teleport the player to the end and instantly teleport them out, thus bringing them to the credits. However, using this command will also make your world unplayable because after the credits you will just be constantly switching between the overworld and the end.

There is a way of doing it in 2 (without making the game unplayable): /execute in minecraft:the_end run tp 1 70 1 This will teleport the player above the exit portal in the end. The y-coordinate of the portal depends on the terrain generation, so it might be possible to die by suffocation or fall damage, but I think it should work most of the time. If it doesn't, there would be another y-coordinate that does work. /kill @e[type=minecraft:ender_dragon] Which will kill the dragon, and since the player is standing in the portal, they will immediately get taken to the credits. Edit: or, an even simpler solution: run '/setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:end_portal' twice.

​@@shot-gi6mr I made one to kill the ender dragon in 1 command (doesn't show credits, though you can still bring the number of commands down to 2 with this): /summon falling_block ~ ~ ~ {BlockState:{Name:end_portal},Passengers:[{id:cow,Health:0,Passengers:[{id:falling_block,BlockState:{Name:command_block},TileEntityData:{Command:"kill @e[type=ender_dragon]",auto:1}}]}]} This command summons a falling end portal with a cow passenger at 0 health (to raise up the second falling block up enough to go through the portal), which has a passenger of a falling command block with the command to kill the ender dragon, and automatically executes the command upon landing.

You only need to type two commands technically. If you put an end portal in the end, it takes you to the credits. Using setblock twice is all you need.

You can look around with the TP command, so basically, after you set the location, you can set player rotation which means yes you can look around with tp command Edit: and also pretty sure that there is a way to speed up the time it takes to input a command but kinda forgor how to do it

If you do want to find the portal, you can just `/locate` a stronghold. I’m not sure if `/setblock` with the filled portal frame would register when that’s completed; I should check next time I’m at a real computer.

You don't have to kill the dragon to spawn an end portal to start the credits. Ir can techincly be done with 1 command (credit goes to ​ @321 shot1000) /setblock ~ ~-2 ~ repeating_command_block{auto:1b,Command:"execute at @p run setblock ~ ~ ~ end_portal replace"} replace it constantly sets the block where you are to an end portal. I don't know what you mean by how much can be done but if you mean achievments you can run a command to give yourself all of the achievments.

There is a complicated command called execute, which can actually teleport you between dimensions, so you can run /execute in minecraft:the_end as @p run tp @p 0 80 0

Do you accept Indie game suggestions? And also, do you accept challenges suggestions that would require a little modding to try? (like those challenges of beating Pokemon with just Ditto for example; using cheats/mods to get something early for a challenge) There's a game called Enter the Gungeon, a dungeon crawler top-down bullet hell shooter rogue-lite game, with lots of fun and creative guns to use, but there's one that isn't a gun, but a baseball bat, that you have to charge to swing; it does a lot of damage if you hit enemies with the swing, but the problem is that it's a bullet hell so getting close is the challenge itself. Also, the swing can reflect bullets you hit with it to launch them back at the enemies who shot them. The challenge suggestion is to try beating a whole main run while using the bat as your only weapon. You could use passive/active objects still. There is a legal way to get the bat at the start of a run, but it requires rescuing an NPC and a *lot* of RNG, so it would take an insane amount of time to even try once, so using a famous mod for the game that lets you give yourself anything would be better just for the challenge. I have tried it myself and it is possible with a lot of patience and reflexes, but I can't barely get to the second boss if even beat the first one XD

tbh another solution to get rid of the endermen's damage is /gamemode creative. You technically didn't say it was against the rules, heck you even specified the _entire_ catalogue of commands was available.

As another commenter said I'm pretty sure 1 command would work. Using /setblock you could spawn a command block that has the /setblock portal trigger repeatedly on you. Though I'm not sure if the command block would stay loaded or not, might need something a bit more complex. Still certain there has to be a way.

I can't double-check right now but here is my theory on how few commands you can use to beat the game 1. /give @s totem_of_undying 2. /setback ~ ~ ~ end_portal 3. /kill @e 4. /tp @s 0 70 1

you can combine 1 and 3 into: /kill @e[type=!minecraft:player] to kill everything other than yourself also you can set the block on top of you to an end portal from within the end, which instantly completes the game, and is less commands than killing things + teleporting into the portal

At least at the beginning, you don’t seem to be restricting what commands you can use. So, uh, `/setblock ~ ~ ~ end_portal`, `/kill @e[type=end_dragon]`, `/tp 0 300 1` should do it. That wouldn’t make as fun a video and maybe you’ll later introduce rules to prevent it; but as long as you wait a few seconds between each command, I think what I said should work in any vanilla world.
