A funny anecdote on the “Gen 2 miss”: it actually *is* a thing, but it’s almost invisible. There’s still a 1/256 chance to miss every secondary status condition, including supposedly guaranteed ones like Zap Cannon. Since those kinds of moves tend to be awful, this glitch may as well not exist in practice, but it’s amusing nonetheless

I love Pichu's back sprite! I wish they did more full-body backs before Gen 5, since Gen 2 had my favorite art style and color scheme.
@chrisdaignault9845 Жыл бұрын
I think they only did them for babies.
@GMJ7 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisdaignault9845 Of all the babies in Gen II, only Pichu and Togepi have full body back sprites, though a few regular Pokémon got them, too: Zubat, Magnemite, Ledyba, Unown, Qwilfish. Several more are very nearly full back sprites but are just barely cut off at the bottom, such as Diglett, Oddish, Mew, and Igglybuff. I find it funny that Voltorb didn't quite get a full back sprite despite being the perfect candidate for it! I think the main contributing factor for the leap in back sprite quality between Gen I and Gen II is the fact that Gen I, for whatever reason, used half resolution back sprites that were only 28 pixels tall/wide. Each pixel was scaled up 2x to match the enemy's front-facing 56 x 56 sprites, leaving so much blockiness and little room for detail. Gen II designed back sprites with the full 56 x 56 sprite size in mind from the beginning.

Depending on your Stat EXP after Falkner, you likely couldn't have asked for a much better Pichu Having Hidden Power Ice means you had 14 or 15 HP, 15 Attack, 13 Defense, 15 Speed, and any possible Special for DVs, with Hidden Power being 66, 67, 68, 69, or 70 base power, based on the Special DV

I'm confused. Jrose had to faint in a lot of battles against the Elite 4 to level up. But then he finally gets back to Bruno, realises he had no thunder and managed to win using return. Would all the faints not have lowered the base power of return, meaning that the levels gained may have been offset by the reduced power of return, and maybe he would've been better off using return all along?
