What I think would be interesting is after all the other runs are complete, to do a rerun of the first three, to see the contrast in time and level between the starters after running the game at least 53 times. Who knows, maybe the starters would be completely ranked differently being ran with different play styles! Either way, great content, can't wait for the next video, much love from Nova Scotia

Beedrill got slammed as a bad mon, but honestly, he was always my go to for dealing with psychic grass and poison. A lot of friends couldn't grasp how I was perfectly happy taking beedrill into the elite 4. He ain't super strong, but he's stronger than the credit he's given.

Well, Beedrill *is* a bad mon. It just is way better than anywhere else (aside from gen 6 with its Mega, arguably) in R/B's Kanto because of bug being super effective against poison, which turns so many neutral/NSE matchups into suddenly being super/doubly super effective. A fifth of the pokémon in gen 1 is part poison type, and Beedrill is the one Pokémon with a good STAB bug move. Thus, I'd absolutely understand anyone taking Beedrill in R/B PvE. if you pick Beedrill, might as well do it there to maximize its potential.

JRose I don't know if you will see this, but I've been violently sick for days. I've been going out of my mind bored since I don't even have the energy to play a game, but sometimes I'm too sick to stay asleep. I saw this pop up on KZbin and it was like a gift from the gods. You've kept me sane while being sick.

This run is one of the most interesting runs. Considering that you use Rage and do the intended order. It is a oddly normal run

Hey man, I've been watching your videos since the start of this year and they have been awesome! I've recently started a new job and have to get up super early in the morning and your content is my favourite part of the day (along with a big cup of coffee haha). Just wanted to say thanks for giving me the motivation to get up early in the morning and start my day with a positive attitude. Also I'd like to shout out to Scott's thoughts for the exact same reason. Both of you guys are the best. All the best for the future

Really hoping for some Drowzee / Hypno love soon. One of my absolute favorite Psychic type Pokemon.

I was just thinking about your videos earlier and whaddaya know, next time I'm on YT this pops up in my recommended! Only now though, almost a week after you uploaded it...I really enjoy watching these runs though, I hope you keep doing them!

Beedrill is actually fantastic in solo runs; in fact it was my favorite solo run I've done. Then again, I haven't watched the video yet. Edit: Ah, I think I see the issue. Beedrill is one of the best users of Hyper Beam in a solo run. I think that had you swapped out Double Edge for Hyper Beam before Lance you'd have been fine.

My first ever Pokemon Game was Pokemon Yellow Version. One of my best (none-legendaries) teams was: Pikachu(of course), Charizard, Dragonite, Beedrill, Blastoise, Butterfree. I loved Beedrill and Butterfree they seriously helped me beat the game. My moveset for Beedrill was: Twineedle, Cut, Mega Drain, Poison Sting. I can't remember all of Butterfree's moves but I remember it had Sleep Powder & Dream Eater. In fact I defeated Sabrina's gym mainly relying on Beedrill and Butterfree, including defeating every Gym Trainer.

I wonder if we'll ever see a run where Focus Energy comes in clutch on a stat-boosted pokemon constantly doing crits due to it's high base speed.
@elliotmyers90713 жыл бұрын
Use Focus Energy if you don’t want critical hits. A few times he could not one shot a Pokémon because he got a critical hit.
@Kanbei113 жыл бұрын
Depends if it can fit in the moveset I guess. Scyther could pull it off with wing attack and slash for attacks

I know the whole point is "just" a beedrill, but would be interesting to know how much doing the evolution line would help. i.e. Having both poison sting and harden in the early game.
@ceulgai28173 жыл бұрын
And String Shot!
@SoraDonaldGoofy993 жыл бұрын
You actually can't get Harden by level up in the Gen 1 games unless you start with it as a Metapod or Kakuna. Except in Yellow, but that only happens with the Butterfree line.

I actually want to see a scyther run. He is a pretty strong bug pokemon, and you don't see it very often.
@yaboidragonitehere11372 жыл бұрын
He is pretty good. But the problem with Scyther is that it's movepool is pretty barren. Lacks coverage against Rhydon and Golem

The only use for focus energy in this gen is to NOT crit when you have 3X swords dance set up
