Man illusion is the way to go for a playthrough like this. Muffle, Invisibility, calm spells, and "silent" shouts

Or Muffle + Fury/Frenzy Spell + Conjuring, especially if you can go up the illusion tree enough to get the silent casting ability. Just sneak in, cast fury on some of the enemies, summon a daedra and watch the chaos. If you're feeling frisky you can kill some people with your bow but it's not necessary.

@@hk-ex4gw eh it depends: if you level basically JUST destruction and maybe enchanting it's fine - staying low level with magic does feel great you don't get too high and the whole 'magic doesn't scale worth dick' issue doesn't come and bite you in the ass but if you overlevel you're basically stuck chaining a hundred fucking fireballs stunlocking a foe for like a minute EVERY fight - sucks - sucks real bad hell this one point i attacked a giant like 50+ feet away with the electric kamehameha (shock master spell) - the fucker got staggered like a second after he just got back from stagger so like 80% of the time he was staggered - he still nearly reached me before he died - shock mask shock perks and a destruction potion and everything (to be fair was pretty high level but also trying not to cheat) it's just shoddily fucking done when magic's weak but free - the whole point is to have a really strong thing with heavy resource management - archers tend to me middle ground able to usually get better sneak bonuses and whatnot and also have resource management and range and warriors tend to me more durable than OP but can swing for days plus kinda sucks there's only a handful of spells this time round

Cheese the game with Invisibility, Dark Brotherhood Gloves and sneak attack perks. Progress through the DB storyline long enough to get on the emperor's ship, grab the secret sword and you have a bugged 100% stagger weapon (without the unofficial patch). Whatever you can't one-shot with 30x sneak attack damage, you can stagger into oblivion and back until it dies.

If you do something like this again remember, when you start the Dark Brotherhood quests you can find a set of armor near the entrance to the sanctuary that gives you all the same buffs, but none of the armor rating, they're all labeled as "Shrouded" i.e Shrouded Hand Wraps, Shrouded Hood, etc. They don't have an "armor rating", so no 'light/heavy armor' rating on the top left.

No U Short answer? Nope. If we use the same rule he did in fallout where looting=grabbing things, then the Elder Scroll makes that problematic. Defense is a non issue, because of magic. Plus you need to loot a dragon claw for the main quest, don’t you? Edit- That said, I want him to do this.

Yeah technically you can go in as a Khajit and have decent unarmed damage and get by for most of the run. However once you reach the Thalmor Embassy you are forced to loot a chest for the dossier on Esbern so it would be impossible. Though maybe you can glitch your way to the portal and just finish it that way I don't know if that would work though.

I feel like either a high elf or a Breton would be better for this. A Breton for the 100% magic resistance(for dragons), out a high elf so you never run out of magika since I feel magic would be better suited since it's still a range win without giving to farm for arrows

It'll say 100% resistance but the max magic resistance you can actually get is 80%, similar to how your armor rating can be 1000 but caps out wherever it is between 600-800

A few tips I'd have for you if you try to do this again. • Use Breton. Their active power grants 50% magic absorb for 60 seconds. Combine with the Atronach stone for 60 seconds of magic immunity. This works against dragon breath attacks, too. • AR doesn't matter. Enchantments do, though. Look for armor that has useful enchantments and wear them. All attacks will still do 1 damage even if you have 1,000AR. • Illusion magic can be VERY helpful. Getting the Harmony spell would allow you to effectively turn off all combat (If enemies aren't too high level) within its AoE for awhile. (Dragon priests are probably too high level.) Other illusions spells let you disable individual targets. (This WILL work on Dragon Priests if you Dual Casted with proper prerks.) There is a level limit, but it helps none the less. One cast of Harmony and the entire Thalmor Embassy becomes non-hostile to you for a solid minute. Don't Dawdle. • Calm spells let you reset agro so you can repeatedly sneak attack enemies if you so desire. It is entirely possible to kill a bear by repeatedly sneak attacking it with a basic iron dagger and using calm in between stabs without taking any damage in return... So long as it isn't hostile, you can even wait an hour to restore all your magicka. This is a VERY effective way to train up sneak.
