@Jon_Oh he has to get in in his first couple of hands to avoid playing one of the pieces. I would assume that's why it's possible because it's usually a turn 0 kill. A short Google search can back up my claim. Considering RNG manipulation can force certain opening hands, it's probably not hard to recreate.

The simple immediate way to tell if a monster has the secondary fire typing is if its first guardian star is Mars, as Mars is the stand in for Fire in the alignment system that the early handheld Yugioh games used (which Forbidden Memories mostly copied, with it just changing it to "Guardian Stars" and altering the mechanics to have an alignment advantage give 500 Attack/Defense points rather than instantly kill the disadvantaged monster). The other Guardian Stars are stand ins for the following alignments: Jupiter -> Forest Saturn -> Wind Uranus -> Earth Pluto -> Thunder Neptune -> Water Sun -> Light Moon -> Fiend Venus -> Dreams/Illusions Mercury -> Shadow Once you realize this, it becomes much easier to remember the Guardian Star advantage chart (as it now makes sense), remember fusions based on secondary typings that rely on these alignments for fusion and equip purposes (such as non-Pyro Fire monsters, and Shadow Sorcerers for the Ushi Oni fusion), and it (mostly) makes more sense which Guardian Stars each monster has.

Honestly the equip card spam at the end is very nostalgic for me because when I beat the game ages ago it was equip spamming Summoned Skull since it has a TON of equip cards it can use, it's why I'm really looking forward to the fiend run, Summoned Skull is definitely going to be an MVP in it.

Yes! He’s back! Hope you had a good new year. This was a super fun run to watch. I’ve never been Exodia’d by Siamun but Heishin 2 has once ever. One of the only times I have ever rage quit a game because I was into double figure final 6 attempts when that happened lol. But Exodia win con deck sounds miserable in this game so good luck when you get round to that one.

@@Jon_Oh I don't think you'll have any serious difficulties after already having completed hard runs such as the ritual or the sea serpent run! I can't think of a decent winged beast other than Crimon Sunbird - but then again, a card with 2300 base ATK probably beats a lot of the other types

Fun fact: At the current moment you can play Fireyarou in duel links, it's part of the "noodle art" strategy in rush duels. It's one of the better monsters in the deck because of its relatively high attack as well of his typing/attribute and him being a normal monster all being relevant.

Nice one! I love the broken quantity of equips. I'm doing a Female run myself and having trouble into ATECing for magic/equips. They just don't drop! By the way, although it's not a rule, those secondary pyro card all have Mars as first Guardian Star. Mars relates to Fire, and in a sense, all cards that have that option are aligned to Fire (although it doesn't mean all get fire equipping cards, due to Konami's randomness). Nice video! Looking forward to seeing the next!

Good luck with A-Tec, it's a punish but persistance with pegasus will get you what you're looking for. Hope you're using a Rank Calculator to work out when you can end the duel early. And obviously using trap cards boosts your score exponentially. And point taken with the Mars star, most of the game equips were sloppily put together based on guardian stars i believe

In regards to the burn deck maybe it could be done as a “beat the game without attacking” challenge. Where you combine the burn cards with playing Millennium shield and labyrinth wall. Have the opponents attack into them in facedown defense to maybe get that extra 2500 damage you need. Although as I’m typing I’d imagine that would only work in the early game when you’re facing monsters significantly under 3000 attack.

I always wondered why the pyro type was ever created, since the FIRE atribute exists. Every pyro card could be another type entirely and just have the FIRE attribute. Vermillion Sparow? Spellcaster. Hinotama soul? Fiend. Flame Cerberus? Beast. etc etc. This applies to Aqua and WATER as well. But I guess that's what makes YGO and thus Forbiden Memories so unique :] Also the duel against Kapura was funny, true a back and forth duel.

To add to the Phoenix discussion: "Death Phoenix: Avatar of Doom" was released for a Duel Masters movie, which referenced *Mega Man Battle Network* of all things in its opening. It is also a Giga-level Battle Chip in Battle Network 5. Interestingly, Knightmare Phoenix is a Link monster, and the Link era introduced the Cyberse type, alongside an anime that had a theming about networks/technology/"links" between people... Which is very much in line with Battle Network's aesthetic and concepts. I'm not saying Joey is *right* about the whole conspiracy thing, but all this makes you think... 🤔

I think i might have gotten exodia'd once but my memory is foggy. I feel Iike almost lost the duel, pulled a fusion out of my backside and was like "If i lose, im quitting..." Only to be exodia'd within his last like 1-6 cards and of course he immediately drew it. I played this game like people played ff7 growing up. The art and music really pulled me in.

Suggestion for Rock-type story; The High Mages are alternate Rock-adjacent entities fighting you for the title of Best Rock. You have The Mountain from Kinnikuman who is literally a giant rock that knows judo and whose finisher, Mountain Drop, is literally just him falling on you, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a Rock Lobster, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Rockstar Games represented by a sentient copy of Grand Theft Auto, and Stoneman from Megaman. You can choose to ignore this suggestion, I just think its funny.

The thing with the weird typing is a thing like blast juggler. You could do a fusion with a beast for the flame Cerberus, or if they're weak you get machine wolf instead.

The ai attacking to destroy your monster is not a glitch its to bait you into summoning something weak so it can destroy it on the next turn and win since you have very few lp left and ai has plenty

Im pretty sure the AI ignores your equip boosts and will continually attack your card thinking it will win. Been able to replicate it a few times in other runs. Whether its intentional or not i have no idea!

To say this game hates the player is the mother of all understatements, just chalked up my 302nd win against Jono 2nd and still no Meteor Black Dragon. To add insult to injury he's dropped "left arm of the forbidden one" 5 times which has same drop percentage as M.B.D🤣😖😭 Loved the story in this episode with Heishin the fireman, doesn't that technically make him the good guy in this story.😂😉

To answer your question he actually Exodia'd me on turn 4, I was just a kid and literally had ZERO clue what just happened and it went on my shelf.
