I’m aiming to be an expert at joy. I’m trying to collect 10,000 hours of joy. Thanks for adding 30 mins ❤

You look taller outside.

I cannot, for my tactics are dated. Whether is be necrons or space marines. We march forward, possibly into a back location. We pew pew what we can and we don't often make it to melee 😂. Warrior blobs, wraiths and scarabs.(sometimes a monolith) Space marines are plasma and dreadnought heavy

Phil: "Understand what expertise is." Also Phil: "But yeah, even the best player can theoretically lose to an opponent who's also skilled, but not sort-of-expert like them, so even that best player really isn't really a TRUE expert. But of you paint a lot, you can be true expert." (paraphrasing) Meanwhile: "Expert - a person who is very knowledgeable about or skilful in a particular area." Also a disclaimer: DO NOT take a sip of anything each time Geek says "paint" in some form. You will drown, regardless of liquid... Now to the better part: Yes, Geek. You are a bit of an expert. Not TRUE expert (whatever that is to each person). You are deeply flawed in few aspects, but generally you can build (by instructions and kitbash), paint (again, by the numbers or own designs), play (using tested methods and testing them yourself), even write(!) (your mostly original lore is interesting [really would like to have more of that!] and even present and have more or less critical view on each of the aspects as well. Your expertise in WARGAMING (not =GW or =painting [maybe rehash the tittle a bit? 😘]) isn't even limited to one army or even one game system OR even to one publisher. You definitely have enough skill and knowledge to warrant a label of an expert in the field. Are there people with more expertise than you? Absolutely. Tons. I'm bold enough to claim even I might edge above you. 🤗 Would I still recommend you to anyone interested in wargaming in general and ESPECIALLY if we're talking about GW and without any shred of doubt if it came to enjoying your hobby (and even the ultimare of wanting to find a drive to paint... 😂)? I have! I will! And despite us having waaaaaaayyyyy different opinions in regards to what amounts as an expert... Heck, nobody's perfect. And you're not entirely wrong either. Almost there, but flawed. And of course this again being just a rando's opinion in the internet, but im my mind you can absolutely become an expert in wargaming. Even the playing aspect of it. Are there varying levels of expertise? Multitude. Can someone achieve TRUE expertise in the field? Depends highly how you define true expertise. Even that tennis player will at some point set foot just a little wrong, curve hand just a little too much, the bindings of the racket are just loose enough, the ball is measly out shape and the hit goes foul. Instant expetise loss. Like a wargamer having a bad dice day. What a n00b. 🤣

You're certainly an expert in comment writing and I am certainly an expert in provoking you 😉 ... But I always enjoy seeing your comments on my videos ... Even if we often disagree 😉

There are many things I treasure in life and your everlasting kindness is one of them. Especially in these days when people once again find themselves standing before great darkness, lights of joy like yours are what ultimately will banish that darkness. 🥰 But I do admit, perhaps from tiredness of my own or even the small provocations you set aside for me, I have grown more antagonistic along the years. Even confrontational at times. Of that, I am sorry. I try to remain argumentative, but I am drawn to the darkness, same as many others, and it does cling so very easily. But my "expertise" in comment writing is a fine example of the nature in expertise in general. It is very subjective to an extent. I know I have a way with words, both spoken and writen. I have had my share of praise whether it be lines scribed, said or even sung. At the same time I have oh, so many times been berated in each as well. My grammar and spelling are generously said good, not great by any lenght, and there have been numerous times when my texts have been described as hard to understand. My talk is even more rambling than my writing, like my mother I like to start my comments from "in the age of ancient romans..." (a very well worn joke about how she and I like to explain things very thoroughly...) and my jokes have left a whole hall of people listening to the chirp of crickets. And my singing tutor just the day before denied me from training with any songs I have habitually sang previously, as I have developed many wrong muscular memories while I sing them and at this point of my training, it would be very hard to eradicate them. And still I'm content with accepting your assesment about my comments. Even if youtube itself much favours way shorter form of commenting... And yes, there will be many who disagree with both of us on how much of an expert I might be with this... But in same vein, although we indeed disagree in many matters of wargaming, I still very happily call you an expert in them. Not only in painting, or even the joy, but in general. You are very knowledgeable in many fields of it and skilled to boot. Neither of us is definitely not masters in it, legendary even less so (lending here the Pathfinder 2 skill classifications), but we most certainly are well beyond simply trained and I dare say we both are edging towards even mastery. In general terms. My painting for example is passable for sure, but nothing to write home about, and in quantity it will forever be even more lacking. 🙈 But even you have garnered tournament victories without even solely dedicating yourself to that expertise. That is a sign of burgeoning mastery already. 😉

touching grass!?!? ahh it burns! lol Looking good Phil hope the weight loss is going well. I always hope to get better at the game, but i know i'll never be an expert. I don't play enough to practice nor do i have the temperament to really dig deep and learn. I play to have fun with the rule of cool models i picked regardless of power level and i'm completely fine with that. I would consider some coaching from an expert, and often during my games we talk of tactics what we are thinking and options with my opponent. My opponent could have a better play to what i want to happen.

Playing to have fun is definitely an excellent way to approach it 😀
