Elmers craft glue did really well for what it is like 2000lbs on a 2X4 so with my shitty math a 2X2 should be around 1000ish, right? lol But yeah the wood splits at the grain of the wood if your not careful how you rig everything up.

@@1987FX16if we followed project farms 2000lbs for a 2x4 and applied it to a 2x2 it’d be 950lbs which yeah is pretty much 1000 close enough lol. It’s tricky cuz those lumber dimensions are a lie, leading to all sorts of confusing shit like a 2x2 actually have like 45% of the cross section of a 2x4 instead of the 50% a reasonable person would expect

Try isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or ethanol.

Ive always felt like Malt-O-Meal wheat cereal or Cream of Wheat would make a strong glue. Just from personal experience of getting some on the counter or leaving it in a bowl overnight. That stuffs basically cement when it’s dry
