From what I've read it is not considered effective for building muscle mass, but only muscle strength and endurance. But your video suggests it does.

Friend, what about food? I am thinking to go to this, but is there specific food to eat to gain muscle? My primary objective would be arms and shoulders, so I would need to eat like I am going to regular gym? Can you please answer me, but without regular gym? I am single dad, working 2 jobs... I just dont have time for regular gym, but most important to me is this: can I truly gain MUSCLE ON MY ARMS and body with this WITHOUT regular gym workout? In lets say 2 months. I saw EMS traning in my city here, and I saw prices, it's not cheap like regular gym so thats why Im asking...

Prioritize protein. A good place to start is by doubling the amount of protein you're currently eating. Most people aren't anywhere near the amount they should be getting. We have lots of videos on nutrition as well you can check out. You can absolutely gain muscle with only EMS. All of my workouts for the last 5 years have been EMS. I'm 190 lb, 8% body fat. All of our clients do only EMS

@@activewave Thank you for your reply, greets from Europe. So I guess some of those regular-gym youtubers who say that EMS is only good for helping muscles in atrophy, they're just pushing ofcourse their own views, not facts right? I mean lets be honest, I know regular-gym work is hard, but ofcourse those who runs those gyms also ARE LIVING from that, and it is not in their best interest to just come and say; "hey EMS truly can build your muscle structure.", because none of them will say that I can see troughout youtube, and it's not only because they're old fashion people who believes only in hard work of regular-gym, but it's also about they're money in all of this industry, right? cheers

I would say that likely a majority of the people commenting that it doesn't work have not tried it themselves. Building muscle is a complex process, but you can definitely build muscle with EMS, and spend less time with your workouts.

So say you kept your workout the same but did this at rest, would it improve performance, strength, endurance during your workouts ?
@activewaveАй бұрын
@5millonman if you use the recovery program, absolutely. If you're doing EMS workouts during your "rest" though, you wouldn't be resting.
@5millonmanАй бұрын
@@activewave So say you do these EMS workouts, then go to the gym for say, Chest day, would you notice a boost in strength & endurance, ex. How many reps you can perform, how much weight you can lift ?
@activewaveАй бұрын
@5millonman definitely. We cover how you can build muscle with EMS in this video. But we also have videos on building strength and muscular endurance with EMS. At the end of the day the same thing is happening physiologically in your body with EMS and weights. We're using an outside resistance to achieve a stronger muscle contraction. Just like with weights, the way that we use EMS is relative to the goal. But all of the same results are achievable - strength, muscle gain, muscular endurance, etc. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6SWoJdja8eGZ8U kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2qleYCOi9uMbbc

This is only worth it if your muscles have serious atrophy. Not worth the time or money if you're a normal healthy individual.
@activewave8 ай бұрын
Based on all of that evidence you provided? Or just because you said so?
@SoulRollerFIN8 ай бұрын
Pubmed is a wonderful place. A whole bunch of studies stating that yes, they can help build muscle, especially on atrophied muscles. But none of them say it's better for muscle building or strength development than traditional exercise. And it's definitely not cheaper or affordable by comparison.
