This was so interesting in how the wood shrink and how important the placement off nail/screws and wood is to allow for the shrinkage. So informative. Thanks John.

Good job with explaining working with green lumber. About cupping and crowning you can tell which side to put up by looking at the grain on and of the board.

Not exactly building related but I found out the cute little touristy things you buy when you go to Jamaica or other islands, that the carved wooden items are green as well. And they crack BIG time when you get home. I like how you did the board and batten building, when will you put the batten?

I wonder what type of wood they have in Jamaica . That's interesting. Battens as soon as we can though I do wonder if the emus like to be able to see out through their shelter cause many emu owners will say that their emus never even use the shelter but ours use theirs all the time.

Did you ever think, ten years ago, you would be building sheds and doing chainsaw carvings?? Great job!
