Ranked in most games is this way 4gen was no different eventually the casuals and the meta = equals skill will get filtered and it'll calm down.

The climbing up an invisible staircase with melee cancelling at 7:48 was legitimately unreal. Craziest movement I've seen so far. Harris does 1250 impact on a charged shot. Blade also does 1200, it ACS Overloads most things in the game minus tanks and giga tetras, that's the main selling point.

ive been running this build for like a week and it's really really fun to learn and get good with it. lose or win, it is exceptionally fun to refine your quick boost skills, juking big hits, getting the combo down and positioning correctly to hit the pile bunker.

That's some nice pile canceling technique. Sure is an answer to verticality! I started doing something similar with my uncharged coral oscilator to hit Gridwalker kites while they ascent or descent. Won me so many games vs builds that have spacebar as their most powerful tool. In addition, DAMN IT MOOD AND CURSE YOU!! I do really, really appreciate the videos. Far more educational in 12 minutes than any other AC6 player on KZbin. I've been running a pulse-blade/HMMR double melee build (plasma rifle and vertical plasmas on the right side) since launch and your first Ranked melee video finally clued me in that I needed to use soft lock to adjust the direction of my pulse blade slash. Also have a pilebunker build that has been gathering dust because I couldn't figure out how to punish stagger with the charged attack, yet it seems what I was missing was that I need to practice the level and vertical pile bunker cancels!

That stair technique is pretty genius, it solves one of the main issues I have with double melee build. I still do double melees on Custom Matches but not on Ranked, might give it some times to practice some of your techs and see how far I can get with double melee :D

yo mood, i've been using a variation of bronze lining for a while now (switched pile to slicer). after training for days on arenas, i bring it on ranked to climb the whole c rank (i named it M'S LINING, M for Mood). let me tell you this is one of the most fun and addicting build i've tried so far. the other one is also a dual melee build by youtuber InAVanByTheRivr. as long as i managed to land the pulse blade, it deals a devastating amount of damage. even in B rank it slaps hard asf. so, i wanna say thanks for the build, man, you make ac6 enjoyable again, even if i play against the meta.

I’m literally not good enough at the game to have the same problems Mood does (aka I’m like stuck in B rank and play custom rooms most of the time), consequently I probably have more fun in general and don’t only run up against meta builds. But I fully respect that this game’s pvp is a fuckin’ mess and certainly don’t resent Mood tellin’ it like it is at the high ranks.

Cheers to all fellow melee build enthusiasts! Good luck to you guys out there! Some ideas to try out, if you're looking for inspiration: - Exp. thrower and wuerger charge shots fire while moving on tetrapods, and the new lammergeier legs will make you about as fast as a meduim light build moving normally, and incredibly zippy while hovering. You can try using them as openers on those legs, as you won't self-stun while firing. You will also have a buttload of stability (1900 min), small ap pool though, if you want to stay quick. - Try laser lance on softlock, in range you will hit more often than you'd think. Punish as desired (easiest is a wuerger in a free hand). - the stun baton charge attack explosion + the other laser hand shotgun = potentially infinite stagger loop on lights. - jvln beta is your trusty cup of stagger on tap with free refills. Good to get that first/last bit to get things going. - laser slicer charge attack trades with pulse blade charge/combo favourably, but you are incredibly unlikely to get into that situation though. will be awesome if you do though! Go forth and give 'em hell!

one note i wanna add, those charged slicers attack can deflect and keeps you from getting stunned by kicks and a few melee attacks too. but yeah its hard getting those spin slicer to connect, big risk, but it's there as an option when you need it

This move tech is insane and adds so many possibilities for all melee build movement. I'm sure its not new news but I'm not as locked into the community as others. Just pulling it off and using it when needed vs not with perfect cancels is wild. It's like a fighting game with frame cancels.

​@@cridus_not really. You have to be a massive support for your team. There is no coms. If you arent running terminal you can get one shot. You HAVE to be attacking the same person your teammate is. 3mins is enough for 3 team wipes which isnt enough to get the score back if your team is down. Solos is hard. Teams is babysitting people who dont play solos versus a team of solo S ranks. And doing all that with duel blades?? Almost impossible because you are constantly in the AOEzone of lasers and Earshots. Not to mention dodging 3 sets of missiles

Lol I thought I faced you earlier in A rank. Nobody else is that good with the pile bunker that I have seen. This video confirms it with your profile image. You rolled me quickly with pile bunker. But it was a very good play. I am also a melee user but I use pulse blade and coral ocilator. Glad to see you were able to make it ultimately to top A rank, I think you can make it S from what I saw. Learned alot about the pulse blades from your videos so thanks for that. Still hoping to learn more melee tricks on my way to S rank.

I hoped you could do it!!!! AMAZING! What an .. I ought to study these moves. I probably don't have the mechanical skill to immitate this success, but I can admire skill when I see it. I'm dissapointed to see the level of toxicity in the PvP community, but I suppose it makes sense. When the game they like and the styles they play are criticized, people get emotional instead of logical. Mood also gets frustrated and the true meaning of his words can get lost too. That bit at the end clarifying was a good touch to help people understand. At anyrate, it's better for people to understand the limitations of their skill and the systems they play with. I go into AC knowing that I don't have good reflexes and play builds to help compensate for my weaknesses.

What’s crazy about the 80% automated system statement you said is that if they removed that part of the game or tune it down a lot the game would be so good and have a high skill ceiling. Like if something like hardlock was removed that would force actual thinking involved when it comes to playing tanks since lightweight would be able to dance around you if they didn’t have the game keep them in the same screen for them.

I know you hate basho arms, but I couple them w ocellus for firearms, plus assault armor, and knowing that if I land 1 pulse blade charged, I can down almost any build w a full combo makes it too fun for me. fellow melee enjoyer, i get you man, once that pulse blade hits, say no more to them enemy's AP. btw careful if you use assault armor against treads, it won't be enough if you want to counter stagger them again. it's still pretty useful against medium weight tho!

Very cool, but have you tried double viento, basho, oscellus? There's a lot of players using it, but I guess you never heard about it. It's a really sick melee build. You use the vientos to build up stagger, and punish with a melee weapon. Most people do light weight, but I think you should do heavy weight instead. I hope you get S rank with Melee, it takes a while for viento to build up stagger, and you gotta learn the swap, but I believe in you Mood!

Punching is clunky and unreliable, missiles actually have uses such as safe poking. If you can't land the combos, you just need more practice, not an easier way to do it.

It's possible! I'm double melee as well (well... if you could call Oscillator a melee weapon XD vertical slash goes slashus) and I climbed to A3 just today (little playing time). It is difficult, very difficult, but if you enjoy melee you will be sucessful if you put your mind to it. As he said in the video: shield users and tanks are nearly impossible to beat. Try every tactic that comes to your mind in order to land your combos without getting squashed in return and eventually you are ought to get finessse to take some fights in your favor. Key word is persistence!
