Great video! I believe working with a coach (sensei) will significantly enhance your progress. It's especially beneficial when you're part of a group with similar skills and ages. However, it's important to note that practicing 2-3 times per week might not be sufficient if you truly want to see substantial improvement. In my opinion, incorporating additional exercises and stretching into your routine as often as possible will help you achieve the best results. Keep up the great work and stay committed! I just restarted doing your kicks programme!

I've been training for 1 and a half year alone, without a coach, at home and yes it works, you can improve but the only thing you're missing out on is the sparring. and so you can't actually test your skills that often. still pretty different if you attend a gym.

I do boxing workouts as a supplement for my weight training. I'm not looking to fight but rather I just want to maintain leanness as the boxing workouts I do have done wonders for my physique. I just feel paying to go to an MMA gym, a coach and spar with partners is mandatory f you're really keen on fighting professionally but if I just want to stay physically fit and feel like I'm Batman I'll stick to self-training. My personal opinion.
@MdZaman-nw5ow5 ай бұрын
I train taekwondo at a dojo, but I don’t really learn much from there. I learned most of my techniques on my own and mainly go to the dojo to kick paddles and spar. I have trouble understanding instructions because of my ADHD. The master says things, but I often don’t understand what he’s saying, so I search for techniques on KZbin instead. In a few months, I learned 17 kicks this way, but I can only perform about 7 of them with proper form and use them effectively in sparring. So, I’d say I’m self-taught to some extent, and it is possible to learn on your own. Also, I don’t go to a "mcdojo"-my club has won multiple national awards, and some members compete in MMA and have won fights.

I would say kind of Yes. When I was a teen early teens I studied john claud vandam martial arts books and I could kick equally high round house kicks fast and higher than My head either foot and spin around and do back kicks. I have had the round house kick get another fighters hands down and I was not able to land a hit until I threw two round house kicks the one landed hard enough both the guys hands dropped and went to the point of impact so the second round house was more less a fake to get attention on My foot and I threw a hard right and hooked up on the cheek bone hard it was a solid C dark black all the way around His eye. I'm glad His jaw bone did not break when My right hand landed it lit Him something serious. It was a good thing the year prior is when I learned takwando round house kicks and it gave Me the upper edge in that little brawl. I feel bad about turning that guys face black like that. Now I wish I would have just let Him run His mouth. That's what started it He popped of running His mouth and now days I let stuff like that slide because I have Jesus so I won't fight now unless its just solid self defence I love practicing martial arts on My bag but its never in anger its for fun. I would turn and walk away before fighting. Martial arts is like a gun You don't use it unless its an absolute threat emergency. Yes You kind of can. I was taught personally how to strike By another individual so Yes You need a coach of some sort even if its a book.
@TheLuconic4 ай бұрын
Many people don’t understand that martial arts as mentioned, is much like a scope actually. The real fun is yourself. You must holster yourself and know when to pull yourself out to shoot the threat. But martial arts is the scope which replaces your iron sights. It helps you home in on what you are targeting and makes you more accurate. Tons of street fighters can fight and none even know martial arts and they are deadlier than someone who goes to a gym. They have, as people would say, that dawg in them. In fact, many fighters can learn to fight by being in fights. But coaches will help you learn to get out alive and with less injuries that could be permanent. There are even individuals that can literally become their own coaches with their perfect memory, able to sense each part of their stances and when they move, they can feel what works and what doesn’t. I got like 1 or 2 of those. Memory is not one of them. Point is, training alone is hard. You move slower than those who train with a coach and you will miss something and will take longer to discover such a mistake, but it can happen. It’s always faster when someone with experience to spot you and give you what you want sooner. Yes I did make some redundant points but I think it’s important to go back to them in case someone really wants to train alone. But if you have a friend who wants to train with you, that’s better than alone.

I don't recommend to try the electrics or laser, or try to float on the air, or throw fireballs 😅😂) And also, use weights training to gain strength and being more lighter to be able to do that kind of moves ❤

@Martial-Mat5 ай бұрын
No, you can do martial movements; you can train kicks and punches and bobs and weaves; you can even punch kick a bag, but without partners, it's all theoretical. You don't get the unpredictability of an opponent, nor the essential feedback of a coach. If you don't even know martial arts in the first place, practising at home is like practising high jump or bob sledding at home, and it's dangerous to kid yourself otherwise.
