Great video,when i brought from copart many moons ago,you were allowed to go and inspect them first,makes sense,if you buy salvage,most people will let you look first,but for me copart stopping you looking before you buy,is a massive red flag.Would never by a car unseen,from anyone.

Bought atleast over 50 cars from Copart of all different categories and they just ain’t worth the hassle. Some you buy thinking oh it just needs a headlight and wing etc then it arrives and it’s got a cracked windscreen, wrapped discs, no handbrake, bald tyres, wheel bearing singing etc on top of the original damage, then they always minging and stinking of dogs so there’s a day or two just cleaning them. Just always more than you think, probs bought about 4/5 sound cars that needed nothing extra and were actually clean inside. Peoples standards of car maintenance in uk is shocking. Then the final pita is trying to sell them and dealing with all the idiots. All the hours I put in it’s just not worth it, make more On min wage

The main issue is they expect you to buy damaged cars without viewing them in person, just too many issues. I’ve bought damaged motorbikes in the past but probably wouldn’t bother now.

bought three vehicles from Copart in 2023, got absolutely messed up by Copart. Damage was much worse than described. They even damaged an electric van by forklifting it onto a recovery vehicle, the forks crushed parts of the battery under the van. Complete pile of scrap.

Copart are rip offs. They don’t represent the cars truthfully. All the cars have things like spare wheels and jacks and even footwell mats removed. They deliver the cars using third parties so if the car is damaged on delivery you have to claim from a third party insurance company and’s that’s a nightmare

Never bought anything from copart but fancy buying my next project van from there but dont know if its going to work out too expensive. If i win a van for £5000 by the time vat and all the bidding, loading fees etc are added on i would be paying nearly £6945, then the cost of repairs. seems alot of fees Purchase price: £5000.00 Copart buying fee: £509.00 Copart lot retrieval fee: £40.00 Copart bidding fee: £89.00 Copart payment fee: £150.00 VAT: £1157.60
