yeah but when you advert something and say on the advert that the car comes with a set of wheels included (specially the OEM ones) you need to honor what you said, even though he was losing money on it, it was his choice to add the wheels to the deal, if he wanted some of the money back he could've sold the wheels separately or at an extra cost on the car sale.. but I agree that he was trying to play calv on it and was indeed regretting giving away the wheels.

When I’m selling a car I offer people drinks, let them take their time viewing the vehicle and try my best to be as flexible as possible with appointment times and any further questions they may have. There’s been times I’ve trusted people in the past and let them go on a test drive by themselves. But I wouldn’t do that in this day and age.. costs nothing to be polite! Sold my dad’s S500 we paid 30k for it and it went for 19k after doing 15.000 miles in it. It’s life, if you don’t want to loose money on a car stay away from the expensive performance stuff and buy a £500 banger. :)

I also have a 2007 E63 M6 and a 1998 M3 EVO and the original wheels look so much better than after market wheels. Well done on the sale !

The F80 is my favourite looking M3 of recent times. The 4 door shape resonated with me more than the F82. I wish I had the resources to buy it at the time I bought my 8V S3 Sedan back in 2016.

When you look at history the seller paid £38k for it and sold for £25k. £13k loss for 2 years. Understandable why he was miffed but that’s not your problem. I like both sets of wheels but think the seller was trying to keep the original wheels to sell separately to recoup some money. I used to own an F80 M3. I was a valeter at the time and 23 when I bought it and always got the “how can you afford that” people never know how hard people have worked over the years to achieve there goals and I was always working (still do) don’t drink or smoke and was able to get a nice deposit! Had the car for a year & a half did 22.5k in it and sadly I had to very reluctantly sell it. Best car I ever had and wasn’t as bad to run as most people think! I will be in another one day soon hopefully. Best MPG I had was from where I am near Glasgow to Gatwick was 414 miles 26 miles left & 37.9 MPG.. I was very impressed but other than that I was 16-25mpg 😂. Love all your videos Calvin, just sorry that auld grump gave us Scots a bad reputation! He should have had that all sorted & ready to go! Always enter in planet of dreams & maybe will be lucky enough to win something and meet yourself! Keep up the great work 😃

The seller worked as an air traffic controller. I bought it and drove it back…opened it up on m6 toll on way home. This was before the days of car vertical when all we had was HPI and checking it over in person along with calling main dealers to check service history. Bought a £40k car privately but well and truly did my homework. Did a £3 Land Registry check to make sure the seller actually did own the million pound house where the viewing was. Checked his passport and driving license. The car was partially financed so contacted the company. The only fly in the ointment was the Car Vertical Check didn’t show the finance! When challenged they well and truly washed their hands of liability and didn’t want to refund me. If they didn’t want to pay a £20 refund, imagine trying to claim £40k if t he car was dodgy! This was 30 months ago and the car is fantastic
