Claudia Bradley The US Milky Way is not different to the Mars bar. They are both nougat and caramel covered in chocolate, and they're both made by the Mars corporation. Outside of the US, we do have a different chocolate bar called "Milky Way", so maybe therein lies the confusion. IIRC our Milky Way is similar to a "Three Musketeers" bar in the US.

Of course you can fry chocolate bars, i've known for years. You can go to a fish & chip shop and ask for a battered mars bar. You should google them if you've never seen one. This one time when me and some mates went to get some, they had no mars bars left, but the man said we could get a mars bar from the shop next to the chippy and he'll batter them for us for free. The price for a battered mars bar right from the chippy was £1, but buying the mars bars from the regular shop was 50p. After he got more mars bars in stock he said we have to buy them from him. Obviously that's fair enough.

I think the American milky way is sort of like the UK mars bar, and in Scotland deep fried mars bars are like a well known treat. I even once got a deep fried mars bar from a Chinese take-away in Scotland.
