I never had BV in my 41 years on earth but after my partner had sex age 42 I had a wellness annual check & it came back postive for BV. my papsmear always came back negative. But I had NO symptoms at ALL. Which I believe with the manority that men sleep around with other woman saying they arent but the vagina never lies when your PH balance is off.

My wife has bv and she's pregnant on her first trimester. What type of antibiotics if any are safe.? I'm worried because we went to a walk in clinic and they prescribed her metronidazole..my concern is that these are not safe antibiotics? I watched a few reviews about it on KZbin and the doctors on the videos all said that it was not safe for pregnant women.

There is no research to support this. Yeast likes moisture (I have quite a few videos on yeast and more coming). While his semen may change because of his alcohol intake, any semen in the vagina for a period of time may cause a yeast overgrowth in you. Try not to let semen or sweat hang in the vagina too long.

There is no test for him as he doesn't have an infection. You had an overgrowth of your bacteria in the vagina. His semen may have sparked the overgrowth. Using a condom may be a good idea.

If a man has slept with multiple women his entire life unprotected, what ever is in his penile microbiome is going to affect and jack up your ph levels everytime cuz it's what's in their system that's causing issues in ours! And condoms are not the only thing that needs to be used. A mans saliva can also cause ph imbalances as well from oral sex.

Western Medicine won't admit to it, but one Arabic flatout told me that BV is caused by men who sleep around. Doctors don't want to admit to it due to liability reason. Medicine needs to catch up with what we women realistically experience!

The bacteria that causes bv is already in the vagina and as the vaginas ph level changes from acidic to an alkaline the bacteria begins to grow alot faster which turns into bv numerous things can cause changes to the vaginas ph level its not normally caused by men who sleep around but more so women who sleep around

Hi, sometimes infections such as BV and yeast can cause irritation in the vagina that cause bleeding. Sometimes sexual activity or placing things in the vagina can cause it as well. Lastly, you can also have a problem higher up in the pelvis with the cervix or uterus that can cause bleeding.

Yes. As someone who gets chronic BV, a lot of things can cause BV not just sex. It could be the brand of condoms that are agitating your PH balance, things you eat, stress, etc. BV can be caused by multiple factors

Yes, now that your partner has had BV it's very likely you are just passing it back and forth. Men can be given antibiotics and a cream for his tip as well. Having both partners treated and re-tested after 3 months, in conjunction with a faithful relationship finally knocked it out for us. But we went years not knowing that it could and was being passed back & forth because they say men don't carry the bacteria or the sperm is the only issue.

Well, candidiasis can happen in the mouth as well, so I would gamble it could be possible to contract vaginal candidiasis through that contact. However, both candidiasis and BV can happen naturally from a mere PH imbalance, which is why they're typically classified as non-STIs. I'm currently on Fluomuzin for BV and I haven't had sex in a while. I got it because I'd been wearing some leggings that I think were too tight and they probably fucked up my PH balance. My doc also said it can happen from dietary changes, type of underwear, etc. And when it happens as a result of sex, it typically happens because the PH of the person who you had sex with interfered with yours. Semen can apparently be a huge disruptor.
