Hello! It depends. If you ordered Ray-Ban Authentic Lenses then there should absolutely be the etching of the Ray-Ban signature and RB initials on the lenses. All authentic Ray-Ban prescription lenses have these markings. However, if you ordered a Ray-Ban frame with non-Ray-Ban lenses, that doesn't necessarily mean the frame itself is fake. You could have an authentic frame with different branded lenses. I'd recommend reaching out to the retailer for clarification on the lenses. Hope that helps!

Hi there! When you are wearing your prescription Ray-Bans, no you will not see the logo in your field of vision. With that said, the etchings are visible from the outside- meaning, if you are conversing with someone they will be able to see it on your lenses. It is subtle though and the same sizing as the sunglass lenses logo!

Hi there! If you are looking at getting Ray-Ban Authentic lenses, Ray-Ban currently only offers prescription lenses with a frame purchase. In other words, you can't add Ray-Ban Authentic lenses to a preexisting frame. However, if you already have a non-rx frame, give us a call at 888-831-5817 and one of our opticians can get some SportRx prescription lenses in your frame!

Ray-Ban lenses have several coatings that fall within their Premium AR such as glare reduction (on front and back), hydrophobic (water repellent), oleophobic (oil repellent), antistatic, and UV protection. Unfortunately, there is not a specific scratch coating but as Sunglass Rob says "On your face, or in the case!"

I just got my new RayBan prescription lenses, I feel like they are blurry compared to Cryzal lens... Is anyone feel blurry??

That doesn't sound good! Check to make sure that it isn't a prescription issue first. The anti-reflective coating alone helps with making your vision sharper by minimizing the dispersion of light off of the surface of the lens, but that should never make for blurry vision, even if it is of a different quality. If you ordered from us, one of our opticians would be happy to help make that right for you! If not, the first recommendation we have is to have the Rx checked. If it's a new prescription, it may be worth talking to the doctor again!

Hi Julian, they will stay tinted & polarized. Polarization is a filter applied to a lens and while there are a handful of companies attempting to combine the benefits of both, for the most part all transitions lenses will be non-polarized.

You forgot to mention the pricing of the Ray Ban lenses is outrageous. Way more expensive than the actual frames. For my RB4175 oversized clubmasters, the lenses for single vision are $321. For progressives $491. I understand the high quality of the lenses but that’s beyond ridiculous for regular prescription lenses. Just a big bummer. No insurance covers for such ludicrous prices.

another thing to take away. you can only get authentic ray ban lenses for RAY BAN frames only (can't bring in your own off brand stuff)...and another is only clear prescription lenses can be matched up with clear frames (can't use a frame meant for sunglasses and put on clear prescription lenses.)

I recently got my prescription sunglasses replaced (scratched due to accident). Originally they where not from ray ban but from a german manufacturer. Had no problems with reflections in those. I'm quiet angry and totally shocked how bad the anti-reflection coating on the ray ban glasses is. If the environment is not equally bright on every spot, I always have the feeling that my glasses are dirty due to white, diffuse reflections mostly in the bottom region of the glasses. I didn't even save that much money on the glasses (spent 300 EUR instead of 350 or 360) but I was told the original ray ban glasses would sit and fit perfectly within the frame. The previous glasses would stick out very slightly due to the curvature of glasses not being perfectly the same as the curvature of the frame. Still outraged, wasn't worth it. [here be some angry yelling]
