Even though I'm Canadian I speak mostly in inches and feet, so when you misspoke and said a 900cm metal rod I was like "wait how high are her ceilings?" Then, I did the conversion and it's roughly 30ft. So, I've decided you either misspoke or this hoya will have some serious height in the garden! I've now got Jack and the beanstalk vibes and I'm here for it! 🤪 I really want to switch to leca but I'm worried that come winter it will get far too cold for the plants. My floor is a cement pad and stays cool enough in winter to keep a beverage cool. I'm thinking I should invest in plant stands that work in my space so I can keep them up off the floor a few inches and have that air flow under to prevent cold roots and then slowly start to move to leca.

Hey Marisa! Jack and the Beanstalk vibes here for sure!!!! That Hoya has a long way to climb!!! Using plant stands is certainly a way to go, and if it is as cold as you say, getting heat mats is probably a good idea.

I use Leca and live in Alberta where we get a balmy -50C some days I do not use a heat mat and the one making the video sure does not know what 900CM is into inches Hers is more 900mm which would be 2.9feet which she is showing us She is making this in the kitchen The kitchen would be 30' in length or width which it isn't because of the size she is showing us Buy some pvc pipe, jute from Dollarstore, and glue gun from dollartree and voila put it around the pipe and glue it on She has the pole in hand so she has a 30 foot height in kitchen? I do love her video but correct the errors

Nora, I love all your videos! I learn a lot from you about plants in Leca! Can't wait for more videos! I do have a question if i may ask: Do all plants that are in leca have to have bright light can they survive in low/medium light? 💚
@TheLecaQueen2 жыл бұрын
It's RJ Thank you! Thanks for the support. Not all plants in leca need to have bright light. It just depends on what the plant needs.

I love this! I’ve always been told or heard that Hoyas grow counter clockwise. When I’ve tried to wrap clockwise they start to die on me. I’m anxiously waiting for the results

Love your informative videos. Question about the pots. Your link is to Amazon,which I have for many plants, but wondered where you find the pots without holes that you then make them. Thank you.

Valerie Malliris Thank you! The pots with no holes I get from a local store in Australia, Bunnings. I can not find some that look like that in the US. Sorry!

Looks great! I'm so curious to see how much areal roots this moss pole will encourage it to grow. Or if having it climb will make for larger foliage. Great video as usual!
