But people, especially in America, think blood and guts are gross so they usually get tossed even though blood and hearts and stuff are delicious! I went to a slaughterhouse where they sold me a bucket of pig's blood on the side that would have normally just been disposed of, whether I made this video or not. If you don't want to eat animals, then fine, but don't get on my case for trying to cut down on waste and using every part of an animal I can! That's why Hemacite existed in the first place, because blood and sawdust were and still are considered "waste", so people tried to find ways to reuse those materials. Have a nice day!

Perhaps instead of using sawdust maybe you should've used powdered charcoal, or some other type of carbon. Steel is combination of Iron and carbon. Maybe experiment with making a knife first.

ExistentialOcto when the Material is too hard it shatters, that's why blacksmiths temper the blades they make, to make it softer. Well besides that it isn't iron but blood it wouldn't work. The thickness of the sword wouldn't change anything what happened, aswell as a sharp edge, it would shatter anyways.

Chinese Popo If the material is too fine it shatters. It shatters because it is too brittle, but it resists scratches. Something like plastic wouldn't shatter under normal circumstances because it's thick and durable, but these plastics are considered hard sometimes.

After some light research, if it was made via more professional/expensive means (like with machine presses, molds, etc.) it could actually probably be very durable. Apparently it could even be dyed different colors, so you could get the original red too.

Wrong mixture for a good blood "epoxy". First treat the blood with EDTA and sodium azide to preserve the blood. Then add lime until ph reaches about 10. When ready to pour into substrate (wood/fiberglass/carbon fiber) add potassium silicate to the mix as a curing agent. Reptile or amphibian (or demon) blood works best due to larger cell structure than mammalian blood. Bird blood would probably be the easier to get in large quantities that would be in between reptile and mammalian cell sizes unless you happen to live by an alligator/turtle farm.

I think demons blood has a lot more iron than humans, pigs, etc. and other supernatural aspects that would probably explain why it would give the sword a crystal like and unbreakable appearance instead of the solid dark, breakable appearance but that doesn’t matter because you do an outstanding job at inventing awesome things both from shows and etc. and also I am not an expert on demon blood or anything like that. I was just hypothesizing because I am a huge nerd and I am proud to be one and I am also street smarts.
