Do you think it's the place that changes, or you?

I think so. Home is somewhere where you feel at most yourself surrounded by your comfort and your pleasures in life. It's a place where you refer as your sanctuary, your safe zone. It hold memories, warmth, comfort, happiness and much more of you inside. However, those with bad fondness of that "home" will always have another home. I'm referring to people who grew up in abusive household. It's not that they changed, but rather that "home" was never Home for them.

Wow, another beautiful composition! I think it's definitely possible to outgrow a place, especially if the same people still live there. Your brain can also trick you into believing that the place still feels like home, but old and unpleasant memories taint that place as it causes you to relive every moment. Both good and bad. So always keep growing and cherish moments as they won't last forever.

Agreed! There is a quote from French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr that is very fitting for this feeling, he wrote: “plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose “ , or in English: "the more it changes, the more it stays the same". Thanks for sharing!
