Hey Kevin! I love this challenge. Here's a tip for you: Go to the menu and hit “Open to lan” -> “cheats on” (assuming you created the world with cheats off) then go to the center of the chunk and type /worldborder set 16 then /worldborder center This will move your world border around the single chunk so you can’t escape by accident :) although it may stop your fishing escapades Other tips: - putting animals in boats/minecarts stops them from despawning without a nametag - if you put a slab in your doorway you can get through by crouching but 2 block mobs can’t get inside - light level 7 and above (visible in f3) prevents mobs from spawning so you can light up the dungeon without spamming torches - if u get desperate and have to eat rotten flesh. Stand. Still. the 30-second hunger effect won't deplete your food bar if you don’t move. Milk also removes the effect - if you find a wandering trader don't kill him. He will offer things you can’t get in your chunk (however you will need emeralds) - dirt is renewable - dirt+ gravel = coarse dirt - coarse dirt+ hoe = normal dirt - I noticed everyone else spamming about the trees so I assume you've got the message about 2x2 trees If anyone else has tips feel free to add them in the comments

Alternatively F3+G will show the chunk border. Also by default the minecraft is really dark, and you can't fucking see anything when it gets dark, so you can turn it up so you can at least see ores. f3+g to show chunk borders. dark oak sapplings need to be placed in 2x2 otherwise they cant grow, wheat can grow without water (takes longer) but i think its the only crop that can. you can craft a wool from string so you dont need sheep. plant the carrot. build a fence on the obsidian so mobs cant get thru.

The saplings you planted were Dark Oak saplings, those need to be 4 together to grow a tree (2x2) downside is that the tree doesn't always drop 4 saplings so it's not very renewable. I'm not sure if you were able to reach the oak tree but those are way easier to farm if you can get a sapling! Also keep fishing! There is a very small chance to get *any* enchanted book from fishing, an enchanted bow, an enchanted fishing rod (this means infinite fishing rods) or some fancy leather boots! You can also craft wool with 4 string if you didn't know that already. Besides that, building a mob grinder would be quite usefull too! Just make a dark, 2 block tall area, with the bottom blocks of the walls replaced with slabs so you can hit the mobs through the hole, while being safe!

Love this. And would love to see more. The best advice I could give, that others have probably already told you, is: Dark Ork saplings (the ones you're trying to grow) are a unique tree that requires 4 saplings to be placed right next to each other in a 2x2 area in order to grow. Also yes you can fish up treasure! but with a standard fishing rod is very rare. You can Increase your chance with then enchantment "Luck of the sea".
