@@RoadsideRC Stock RTR 2wd Slash still comes with the high CG chassis, and there is no comparing that to the Pro2. Pro2 is light years better. But even the LCG chassis conversion for the Slash, the Pro2 is going to be better. Lighter, and better suspension geometry, and generally better design. I say that as someone who spent a long time trying to make a 2wd Slash run with the rest of the 13.5 SCTs.

The SC10 is king & has been sense the start of SC RC racing. I raced the original SC10 for 6 years & stayed competitive the whole time. Finneshed 3rd in points the final year I raced it. They are easily tuned to any track & the aftermarket is bountiful to keep them relevant to newer cars.

@@RoadsideRC you did great. I've seen reviews on that track with comparison to the Losi & everybody seems to really like the SC10. I think RPM makes the best upgrade parts for when the stock parts brake. Other than that it's all about tuning(tires,shock oil/springs, gears, & maybe a quicker servo) & that just takes time getting to know your driving style. Most important thing is keep it fun. Good luck have fun and keep up the great content.

What I found: this truck has A LOT of steering angle. It is very easy to over steer the front end going into the corner. I found less steering = better handling = faster corners.

@ i want to get into short course racing and this video was perfect. Im looking at either this truck or the slash vxl. How is the aftermarket for the team associated trucks?
@RoadsideRC20 күн бұрын
@saintbroseff Honestly - if you are looking at getting into racing, then you want to see what your local track runs. IF they have a spec-Slash class, then it could be fun. Otherwise, the Slash is useless on a track and you will be embarrassed quickly. This Team Associated will get you started cheaply so you can get a feel for it. But - instead of throwing $$ at it in upgrades, I would practice driving and save $$ for your next chassis. Many other companies make dedicated race kits, and that would be your next step instead of spending more on this one.

There not good enough to compete at a pro level except against there selfs lol

@RoadsideRC second is first loser. If your not first your last 🤣. I run a slash in a dirt oval sc street stock class it does ok at a club level but you go to a big race amd good luck. The tunability is not there compared to the others unless you have all aftermarket stuff and at that point you might as will get a race kit.
