Journaling helps me. I write everything down, more than once if I need to and add to it on occasion. It keeps me from burdening someone else and helps me purge!

Thought retraining. It's more important and more prevalent than you think. *How I think determines how I feel*

I've been struggling with depression for so much of my life. I used to dump out other people, now I just stay in my corner of the world and isolate from others and deal with my feelings

What’s the difference between journaling and talking to somebody else about your troubles? I think this reinforces solitude. I think talking about it and moving on is great but if you just keep talking about it then I would think that causes reinforced negative thoughts

I'm with you here. If you only write things down and feel no-one else is genuinely interested in what you're going through, it increases the feeling of loneliness. Like a diary that's left for someone to read after you're dead... ( If anyone is remotely interested! ) I've written so much down but no-one cares to read it. Yes I feel fu@£ing lonely. The only benefit to writing things down is that when I'm feeling similar feelings later down the line, I can just re-read it, lol! 😭

I have suffered from severe anxiety and depression for 24 years. Spent 1 1/2 years in a day treatment hospital. Journaling is not for everyone. Talking/venting to others makes you feel less than. Like everyone can do life so why can’t I. It is up to us but people around you should listen for clues. Because at any time that person that struggles will just disappear. There is not an easy answer. I completely understand that everyone should put their mental health first. Just like going to a regular doctor we all should be getting a mental check up also.

People have their own problems. Why should they be dumping grounds for what is going on in my life? I tell my problem to God and figure out what to do, never fail God's word, and cast your care on God because he cares about you. God never fails I do well all glory goes to God for helping us in life.
